Refillable Leather Pocket Notebook - Mini Composition Cover - Fits Standard 4.5 x 3.25 Mini Composition Book (Black)

I like to carry mini notebooks in my pocket but the spiral-bound are no good because the wire spiral gets bent/compressed and pages tear out too easily.. I like mini composition books for their perfect size, availability and low price, but the covers end up getting pretty beat up and bent, and sometimes come in goofy colors. This product solves all those problems and transforms a mini composition book into a stylish, compact, professional-looking pocket notebook, while protecting the paperboard covers. Initial impressions of the quality and workmanship are excellent, time will tell how well it holds up in my pocket. The price may seem a little steep for what you're getting, but considering the price of other expensive, well-known pocket notebooks and the fact that this can be refilled with cheap mini comp books, I think it's well worth the investment. (I bought one of those well-known pocket notebooks and it started falling apart within a day).And it's real leather, not some cheapo plastic laminate faux-leather. It smells good.FYI, I recommend mini comp books that have sewn bindings. They are much more durable (and harder to find) than the cheaper ones with glued binding.Overall, A+

Idea is good, but... I think you may need time to break in the leather. Too stiff for me.

I am a planner fanatic - I have no less than 20 agenda / planner / journal covers. As I, and my kids, are getting older, I have find I have less to write down. My planners are shrinking in size. I do monthly instead of weekly / daily planners and I find that I can happily use the small sized notebooks to capture thoughts, ideas and to-dos. I have many of the mini marble notebooks and when I happen to come across this nice little cover I figured I would give it a try. Love it, I turn to it every day for writing down EVERYTHING (I do not even use my planner every day anymore). The cover itself it lovely - nice brown leather, nice stitching, fits my .99 cent store mini notebooks, looks attractive on my desk but can be thrown on my backpack or purse. The only thing is that the leather had a strong odor when i took it out of the package and I had to air it out on a table for about 2-3 weeks before I was able to use it. The odor is gone and all is well.

When I first opened the package, I was a little disappointed in the size. I was looking for this exact item, but small enough to put in the front breast pocket of a Wrangler button down western shirt. With further inspection I grew to appreciate the size as well as the quality of the leather. This well crafted leather 4.5" X 3.25" mini composite notebook holder, was purchased to protect my small notebook that I use on a minute by minute and hour by hour daily basis. At first the holder is just on the verge of being too large for either of the breast pockets, but within 10 days of heavy use, the leather is already starting to mold & form around the mini notebook, but not so bad as I can still change out notebooks as I fill them. This refillable leather notebook case now fits nice and smooth in either front breast pocket. I really appreciate the quality, durability, and the simplistic function of this cover. So far it has done great in keeping my composite notebook, dry and clean. I will add pics as this notebook transforms. The 1st & 2nd pics will be right out of the box new/ never used. The 3rd & 4th pics will be after 30 days heavy use. The 5th & 6th pics will be after 6-months of heavy use.Thank You

Perfect size for notes on the fly! I look for a reason to wright something in it. At my age, a short pencil is better than a long memory!

I am a strong believer in that one should always have something to write on, and I love how this simply gives a simple paper notebook a classier look and a lot of times I do receive compliments when I take it out to write something so that is always a plus. Bought my first one a couple years ago and even though it has gotten a little darker with all the sweat and dirt over the years it still looks good and has not fallen apart yet. The stitching has not fallen apart and the leather has not ripped or been damaged though it has gotten smoother and softer over time.*update 2020 , originally purchased first one in 2015 still using it, some of the stitching has come undone but I simply cut it off and just burned to remainder to hopefully prevent it from coming undone further. Despite that it still works great and is still in daily use. I love the shade of brown it has turned into (definitely a worn in shade) and plan on stitching it back up myself if need be because I plan to keep using it till it is no longer serviceable.
