Perfect mic within budget
I bought this microphone about a year and a half ago, and I’m still really impressed with it! Whether I’m recording videos for TikTok, doing voiceovers, or just using it for calls, this mic has consistently delivered clear, professional sound. The noise-cancelling feature works great, even in noisy environments. I used it at a busy coffee shop once, and my voice came through perfectly while background noise was minimized. It’s super reliable, and the sound quality is always top-notch.The 16-foot cable gives me plenty of room to move around while I record, which is a huge plus. Plus, it comes with both TRRS and TRS adapters, so I can easily switch between my phone and camera without any issues. The mic also includes 2 clips and 4 covers, which are handy for securing it and protecting the mic.For the price, this mic is a steal. I’ve used it for over a year, and it’s still in great condition.

Phenomenal Bang for The Buck Lav Mic for The Budget Filmmaker!
I've been giving this microphone a go through the perspective of a content creator and indie filmmaker. I've been looking at affordable solutions that could help with one of the most important aspect of content creation, and that's the importance of getting useable audio, especially at the budget end. This mic is a great option for those who are wanting to get into content creation, and need something to add to the quality of their audio. One of the best solutions for capturing quality audio is to record your media using your camera of choice, as well as have an often a dedicated external source capture the very same take just out of camera shot, then synch them in post. This is still one of my favorite methods, however this setup can cost extra money that isn't in a first time filmmaker's budget, and that's where this mic does a great job at coming inbetween. The Pop-Voice lav microphone comes in at 16ft long, and includes an extra clip, a TRS adapter plug (for use with devices that aren't typically your phone, you'll have this attached often),and 4 different colored windscreen caps, in case you are using more than one. The adapter is especially considerate, as I have a couple didn't lav products in my collection, several of which have a TRRS connection like this one, but no adapter to adapt to your other audio devices, which is silly. The build of the lav is surprising sturdy and standardized, much like many of the lavs you may order that can cost double the price of this kit. The included clip is very sturdy, and doesn't feel like it'll fall apart with extended use, or harm you or your talent from rough edges. This mic is a great way to get much closer audio from your camera while the 16ft length gives you plenty to work with in distance to make sure both your shot and audio are ideal. I will be ordering groups of these from now on, and even if I was totally wrong and half of them blow up within 6 months, I still made my investment in them back several times over.

Takes a bit to figure out with 3.5mm audio.
Make sure you set your recorder to a mic level input. On my digital recorder there were options for mic and line. It should be set to mic.It works on the Mac and phone without any adjustment. The cord length is kind of ridiculous. Who runs a 5 meter cord to a lavaliere mic? That just makes it hard to pack in a small case. And the adapter and plug are both long, making a two inch long connector when both are used. This is a nice lever for breaking whatever you plug it into. If you have to stack two connectors, they need to use short connectors. These are readily available.

Doesn't work - UPDATE - make sure to use Apple adapter!
I followed the instructions exactly; plug adapter into iPhone dongle, make sure attachments are secure (I pushed hard, heard a click), record video or voice memo, unplug microphone, and playback. Nothing. I tried numerous times to get it to work - checked the connections, pushed as hard as I could to make sure the connector was definitely in all the way, plugged it in, unplugged it, tried again.... nothing. I emailed Popvoice a few days ago and have not gotten a response.EDIT: I thought that maybe I'd gotten a dud, so I returned the mic and ordered another one. The new one doesn't work either. I recorded a video review and uploaded it so you can see that I'm doing everything correctly and the mic still doesn't work (unless there's been some sort of change to the instructions and there's something that I'm not doing. But I don't know because customer support still hasn't answered my email).UPDATE: Customer service finally answered my email and said to make sure that the iPhone adapter that I was using was from Apple and not an after-market one. I had actually tested the adapter to make sure that it wasn’t the problem; I plugged a pair of Apple headphones into it and they worked. But I just thought it was weird that 2 mics in a row were duds. So when customer service made the comment about making sure the adapter was from Apple, I went and compared the adapter that I’d been using to another one that I had in my desk drawer, which turned out to be slightly shorter. I gave that a try with the mic and the mic now works!!

Is hard to make work
I tried so many times to use it as a gaming mic but my computer would not recognize it, I was not even able to use it with the adapter or not. It might be my jack on my laptop. It would not work on any of are phones (7of them) and would still not work. I wish a could do something to make this mic work. I gave up and bought a headset with a mic. Just disappointed, wish it would work but of course its hard to make something for every kind of decice

Great Mic Great Price
Great mic. Works better for me than any mic I have used for my oil painting tutorials.
