Car Key Fob Keyless Entry Smart Remote fits Land Rover, Range Rover, Sport, Evoque (LR024070), Set of 2

This aftermarket key fob was easily programmed at my local Land Rover dealership. It did cost me an additional $100 but I don’t have a gap iid tool. This fob like most other key fobs need a special tool to program it so please don’t believe that you can program it yourself. All in all, this fob functions as well as my OEM key fob and for a fraction of the price of a OEM fob.

I bought a couple of these because I only had one key for my 2011 l322. They are easily programmed with the Gap IID tool. My original key is starting to fall apart and the emergency blade got destroyed so I will be getting a few more of these as backups. I still haven't found the emergency blade keys that will go in these so hang on to your original as they should snap into these just fine

I ordered 2 remotes. They shipped on time. Add you can see, they are physically different looking even though I ordered and received both in same package. My original key (not pictured) has the word "range rover". These fobs also DO NOT have the key blank insert. Also, in the area I live in, I had to take the fobs to the dealership to get programmed. Good thing to check your local locksmith in case there is a chance they do it as well. Dealership programming costs around 200 USD. I can't tell you if it includes grinding the key blank because the blanks are not included. The texture is slightly different and feels slightly rougher. These are not from land rover because there is no laser engraved FCC information. Still, over all, worth buying. Just good to know the problems you might have. If you have your old key blanks, they are easily removed and inserted into these fobs. These fobs are a little hard to open though. Again, not really an issue unless you need to open it in a hurry.

I this situation it is best if you have a backup fop as the vehicle will not be operatable.

Had to return this product to Amazon shortly after delivery. No locksmith would program the device. The vendor provided a list of locksmiths to take it to locally. Half the list was permanently closed. Two of the other smith’s each told me they could not program them and I would have to take them to Land Rover for programming. Land Rover told me I would need to buy new key fobs from them. Thank you Amazon for the easy return process!

Vehicle came with 1 fob. Dealer was wanting hundreds for a spare. Using gapiid tool, this took less than 5 mixture to program to my vehicle. I only wish it came with key blade blank. Now I have a spare, that has all the same functions as the original for a 10th of the price quoted. I might purchase another just for a 2nd spare.

I was able to program this key at home on my smartphone with the Gap IID tool in about 2 minutes. It definitely works on a 2011 Range Rover HSE. I had to have an original, programmed key for the procedure, but was shocked at how easy it was. The tool prompted me through the process as I sat in the car pressing buttons. Then bingo! Spare key!
