Great Everyday Notebook
I love this notebook. First one I bought at Staples and I decided to buy another two here on Amazon. I just received my Amazon notebooks and like a lot of other people said in reviews they did not arrive in perfect condition. One was nearly perfect but the top corner of the spine is a little bent and the other has 4 dinged up corners, 2 of which are pretty bad.. And I'm ok with it because this notebook looks awesome with some wear and tear. I will take an emery board to the damaged corners of the cover (it will actually make it look better). This is not a pretty notebook so throw it your bag, toss it on your desk or table.. It looks good beat up.While I love the cover its whats inside that really matters. I have bought much more expensive notebooks (Scribbles That Matter, Archer and Olive.. and many more) but this is my preferred notebook. I love the printed calendar at the top that I can circle my current date on. The paper isn't a high gsm notebook so ghosting will be there but I've never had any bleeding through the page. The paper has a little bit of texture but is mostly smooth and is very easy to flip through (no pages sticking together!). Best of all though is that this notebook lays super flat no matter where you open it (except the first and last page which are glued to the cover pages, I personally skipped using these pages to write on).For bullet journalers there are not enough lines to do a monthly layout on one page but there are several marks at the top and bottom of the page if you want to split the page in two or you can just spill it out over two pages. This also comes unnumbered so you'll have to number the pages yourself it you want to index everything. If you leave your perfectionism at the door this is a great notebook and you will grow to love it as much I love mine.

Perfect for type B planners
Love planners but can't commit? This planner is perfect for the infrequent users. It's also perfect for a line a day challenge. You set the date on each page. The cover is sturdy, but the fabric binding causes it to open flat. This lefty is in love. Great design.

Most versatile notebook of the 4 books of theirs I own
Oh I have a journal hoarding obsession and I love this notebook. The cover is sturdy and if you like some bells and whistles and oomph this is the notebook for you. The features are fantastic.-3 different bookmarks to save your place-Subject line and well organized lines that are spaced just right-For dates, you can circle month and day up top-Writing utensil holder on the spine of the notebook-Pages flip easily and you can scroll easily-Paper texture is not too thick or thin - Microns would probably work best on these pages-Colors are beautiful-They have a built in ruler and stencil that is barely noticeable and doesn't mess with the binding or closure of the notebook!!-The price on this notebook is comparable to other quality notebooks out there!-You can use this for anything!! Most notebooks are best for one thing or another, like 2 of mine are best for journaling and one of them is best for meetings and quick notes; this one is just all around awesomeAlso fantastic customer service. I purchased a different notebook from them, had an issue with it and they resolved the matter for me quickly (sent me an alternative because they were out of stock of the notebook I had purchased - I had inquired about suggestions on how to fix my notebook because I love it so much, absolutely gorgeous Poetry and Prose forest green notebook). The alternative they sent me was pretty sweet.

A 5 star purchase X10 for me...
It’s my favorite journal. I will purchase again based on its features.5/15/2020 Update: This is the 7th journal that I have purchased for myself, and I have purchased 3 of these journals for my mother. I started keeping a diary about 2 1/2 years ago when I had the flu. I recorded everything from how I felt to the times I took medication to treat my symptoms. After recording everything daily for about 2 weeks in a regular notebook, I decided that I was going to continue journaling. I started researching journals on Amazon. The cover of this journal is nice and thick. It’s very sturdy and will protect the pages of the journal for many years. On the cover of the journal is a “Property of” sticker for writing your name, subject, book #, and dates. There’s an elastic band to secure the cover to keep the journal closed. This band is attached firmly to the cover. The band has never failed on any of my journals despite being stretched to both open and then secure my journals multiple times per day for months on end. There is some elastic that is well secured on the spine of the journal for keeping a pen. When the journal is open the elastic is loose so it’s easy to remove or place ones pen, and when the journal is closed the elastic is tightened enough to hold the pen securely in place. The paper inside the journal is a nice weight. It’s heavier than “normal” paper. One should expect this given the premium price of this journal. The top of each page is labeled with the 12 months of the year as well as the numbers 1-31. This makes it easy to record the date just by circling it. I usually write in the day of the week along the top, too. There’s a “Subject” heading at the top of each page. I find this useful to record special events like holidays, birthdays, or major life events. I’ve used many different kinds of pens to write my daily entries. The ink has never bled through the paper. There are 3 different colored ribbons for use as page markers that come in handy. At the very back of the journal are 2 pages with spaces for each day of the year to record “Important Dates” information. These spaces are fairly small, only providing enough room so that one could write in someone’s name on their birth date for example. Retracing my steps back to the front of the journal are things that one might find useful, but in my experience not necessarily useful for my journaling experience. There’s a pocket with a plastic 3 inch ruler/bullet template. The template has different sized circles, squares, arrows, & stars. Next to the pocket is an area where one can write in a “custom bullet key.” Below that area is a list of “world times.” The second page includes an area for “personal information” such as a place for your name, address, phone numbers, and a place to record information about who to contact “in case of emergency.” Below this area is a world map that is not of much use. It only covers the bottom half of the page. While there is some labeling of countries and oceans on the map, most are too difficult to read especially for the over 40 crowd. The third page has conversion charts that some might find useful. For me, the only thing lacking is a pocket in the back to place a newspaper clipping or special note that someone may have written to you. When I purchased my first Standard Issue journal, I never dreamed that I would be on book #7. Admittedly, I have considered buying a different brand of journal, but I keep coming back to the Standard Issue Notebook No. 03. It’s not perfect, but it’s darn close. All of my journals have held up as well as can be expected from daily use. I plan on leaving them to a family member when I die. I hope it will bring someone joy to read about not only the exciting things that happened in my life, but also the mundane events. I look forward to having my mother’s journals when she dies. Having her recorded thoughts and memories will be something that I will cherish forever. I encourage you to give thoughtful consideration to purchasing this journal. It’s a purchase that I have never regretted.

Concise and Professional
Sorry for all the blacking out but its patient information.I have terrible hand writing and would wish to be organized but am not consistent. Love this note book. Select date at top, write a check list for day. Has been my favorite thing I have found in years. It is flat, papers dont bleed through, it looks professional not flashey. Its not too big or small either. I hope they never sell out, may buy a few more just in case.
