Great knife
Every day use chef knife and it looks cool. European blade style with Asian style handle. Works great!

Good knife, but overpriced…
I love the weight and feel of the knife and it holds a good edge. Handle is very nice. The steel reminds me of VG-10. I don’t really like the “etched” Damascus design on the blade as it makes the knife look cheaper to me, when it actually is quality steel. I have Yoshihiro VG-10 layered Damascus ground knives that are $50 cheaper and I wouldn’t put this knife in their class, and that goes all the way to the original packaging. This knife arrived with the blade sticking through the packaging with the tip protector floating around inside the box loose. Couldn’t believe the knife wasn’t damaged. It took me 10 minutes to just unwrap the Yoshihiro. Everything about them says quality. They also came with a magnolia saya to protect the blade as well. This knife doesn’t compare to that, although the Yoshihiro brand are true Japanese knives and this knife is more of a hybrid between Japanese and German styles. I believe it is made in Japan however. I would have given it 4 stars if it was $150. You are somewhat paying for the name here. Update 11-2-24 I’m improving my rating of this knife from 3 to 4 stars after extended use. I really love the balance and feel of this knife and the handle is great. Really holds a great edge and faux Damascus look actually works to somewhat reduce sticking of the blade. Not moving to 5 because of price however.

Needs some attention to detail
The knife is perfect for me in so many ways.- It is crazy sharp out of the box- I love how the handle is crafted such that you wrap your fingers comfortably around it- love the Japanese- Western fusion when it comes to designHowever, I have to say that the attention to detail is rather disappointing. If you look at the attached photo, there is a ‘orphan’ nickel damascus print on the tip of the blade. It’s an eyesore, and thumbs down to the Zwilling team for not paying attention to such details. I doubt that’s what Bob Kramer had in mind for this knife design.

A must have
No wonderful knife. Exceptionally shop went on the box. I have been using it for about three months now and it is my favorite knife. A perfect mix of western a japanese engineering. The handle is the best part. Fits comfortably in the hand. MUST get another Kramer.

What can you say when Bob puts his name on it?
This is a fantastic knife. It’s not the hallmark Kramer chef knife but nevertheless it’s a collaboration that produced a fantastic knife at a not so super expensive price. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still pricey but if you take your knife skills seriously, you shouldn’t skimp either. Handle is noticeably slimmer than the Euroline but for $100 less, I took my chances and I’m glad did.
