WITFORMS/WINDOW - Adjustable AC air deflector suitable for window air conditioners (Top air outlet). Enhance cooling and heating circulation

Spent some time trying to find a deflector wide enough to be used with our through-wall heat/AC. This product fits great and is made of very heavy material.Assembly is made unnecessarily tricky due to a lack of instructions, but the picture(s) on the box are enough. In our case, the clear plastic 'extensions' were not needed. They may be as long as they are to allow placing under the sill of a window mounted unit. I cut them down, but elected to use the existing metal box trim and my own metal screws instead (two modified truss head screws are provided, but need four to do this anyway). I put double sided adhesive foam squares under each which is probably overkill.The air is now directed upward and anyone sitting near the AC won't get blasted.

Solid, sleek, and minimalist style.The clear acrylic plexiglass is less obnoxious and distracting than the opaque white deflectors you see for cheaper elsewhere.Plexiglass was a little scuffed, but it's to be expected and not noticeable from a distance; this kind of material is known to scratch easily.Love its versatile angling and positioning, and the option to screw down into place (I used large velcro Command Strips, to make it easier to remove, reposition, or clean).The *only* thing keeping this from 5-stars is the lack of instructions.The box has no printed instructions included, only the QR code on the outside box for a youtube video, but the video link is for the side A/C version, not the top A/C.The video also runs quickly and doesn't explain much about the actual assembly- just how to angle the deflector.Nonetheless, I was able to look at the product photos on the Amazon listing here and figure out the assembly for myself.

TERRIBLE. Overpriced overcomplicated design has a major weakness built right into it that seems to have no actual purpose but to ensure premature breakage. I bought this Oct 2024, and it broke just today (April 2025), less than 6 months later. The design has horizontal slots that are oriented lengthwise across the main plastic guard. While perhaps not intentional, this creates a "perforation" that runs the length of the piece. As any perforation will do, this makes it easier to tear (or crack) along that line - which is exactly what happened. Why on earth would you design it this way? There seems to be no useful function to there being so many holes - no reason that the holes need to run the whole length - other than to ensure that's exactly where a crack will form. Seriously? You've got to be kidding me. I paid 40 bucks for this dumb piece of junk? I feel like a sucker.

It does work, once you figure out where and how to place it on the unit. That took some working out and some extra pieces that don't come with it. The lack of instructions also makes this a little frustrating.For now, and with some extra work by hubby, its working.

Starting with the positives, the Witforms deflector does an excellent job of directing cool or warm air, enhancing the circulation throughout your room. I've noticed a significant improvement in my room's airflow, ensuring a more evenly distributed temperature. The deflector is also adjustable, allowing for personalized control over the direction of the airflow. This comes in handy on days when I want to avoid cold air blowing directly onto me.The deflector is also fairly easy to install. I managed to set it up without any professional help, which I consider a big plus. Furthermore, it fits perfectly with my window air conditioner, which has a top air outlet.However, the product isn't without its flaws. While the deflector is built to last with sturdy construction, the actual design isn't the most aesthetically pleasing. If you're particular about your room decor, this deflector's industrial look might not blend seamlessly.Also, while the deflector is adjustable, it's not the most flexible in terms of angling. It has certain limitations in its range of motion; you can't tilt it to extreme angles, which might be an issue for some users.

Very easy to install if you have a hand drill and some experience using it. I screwed mine into the aluminum frame of the porch enclosure because I did not want to damage the ac unit. This diverted can be installed to divert the air up or down and using the vent directional in addition to the diverter gives you even more control of the air flows direction. I love this product and strongly recommend it for its intended purpose.
