Overall great replacement for the old water hose valve that I had for years. Installs very easily with pipe dope and seal well because of the nicely cut threads. The valve itself works well too with a smooth on and off twist. Hose attaches easily and securely too. Overall great value... better than trying to tear apart and rebuild the old one. This one does the trick!

Works as it should. I just wish the ball inside was larger to allow more water through. Other than that, it's great.

Prior to buying this, I found myself getting somewhat frustrated--even slightly depressed--with the leaky one I had before. No matter how hard I screwed it, it never really got tight enough or stopped leaking entirely. Finally, I had enough, and went online late at night to trade this hunk of junk in for a newer, better model.Man, did I ever find it in this one! Sturdy, shiny, tight, and sharp. That's right... when I took it out of the packaging, I cut the living sin out of my finger on the threaded lip.I really had to put my back into it removing the old one, but once it was disconnected, I threw it to the curb and haven't thought about it since. I screwed in the new one, and gave it a few extra thumps to make sure it was on there nice and tight. Just the way I like it.When I turned the bright red handle, it went off like Niagara; completely soaked my shoes, socks, and pants half-way up my legs. For the second round, I attached my hose, and it has more than enough pressure to get everything within 50 yards nice and wet.

No Leakage, Value for the money, Easy Installation, Will Buy Again if Needed! Well Built!

This year, I finally upgraded our old, leaking, bent-nose style garden valves by replacing them with these 1/4-turn, all brass, garden ball valves. And my gardening wife is as happy as I am that I did!Though I also had to buy some brass elbows to complete my upgrade, it was well worth it. These are excellent quality, smooth operating, and very easy to use 1/4-turn Ball Valves.

I love this one! It is a lot better than the old type i have always used for a water hose.
