I really wanted a fireplace in my bedroom, but the house didn't come with one. I guess most don't. But this faux fireplace is AWESOME! It looks great, includes a heater and has multiple settings for flame effects and even has a timer and remote control! Couldn't love it more!ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION: I was working alone and it took me about 2 1/2 hours from unboxing to completion. If you can assemble IKEA furniture, you can assemble this. The box it arrived in is VERY HEAVY--I had to unbox it downstairs and then walk the pieces upstairs--again, I was working alone--so no help getting the big heavy box upstairs. Assembles like most IKEA products, but there are a lot of individual pieces that need to have parts, including dowels, put together before final assembly. It uses the "Cam/lock" system like IKEA furniture.The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I started by laying out all of the pieces and arranging all of the hardware. It is definitely worth the little bit of extra time that this took because once I got started, it went much faster. Unlike IKEA furniture, all of the parts and hardware are well labeled, so there is literally no guesswork required and it is nearly impossible to assemble it incorrectly. I took my time and double checked everything as I went along, so with two people or working a bit faster, it wouldn't take quite as long.Once assembled, the fireplace insert just screws in from the back. If I had to nitpick one minor point, the hardware included to secure the unit to the wall was pretty lacking. Difficult instructions and there didn't seem to be a way to attach it to the wall from the front. (But it is a minor point--not enough to deduct a star. )USING THE FIREPLACE: The separate instructions for using the fireplace with the remote are clear and easy. While I don't really need to use the heater portion, it did test it and it seemed to put out. good deal of heat. I can see it heating a nice sized room fairly quickly and the thermostat is adjustable, so it would be easy to control the temperature.RESULTS: The pictures speak for themselves: WOW! Just WOW!

The media could not be loaded. This slim line fireplace features a traditional design but provides plenty of space for decorative items or photos. The engineered wood used has the look and feel of real wood without losing sturdiness. The assembly time is quite long, but the instructions provided, make it feasible for those without a lot of assembly experience. The electric fireplace a realistic flame effect that can be enjoyed with or without heat. The heater is efficient, capable of warming up a room quickly and evenly.

I just love it! It looks so good in my house and worth the time to put together. The heater is really nice too. It has settings that allow you to have the heat off while having the “fire” on.I have been looking at this product for several months on different sites. I found it on Amazon and the price was better here than on the other sites.I had no issues with delivery or damaged parts.If you are putting it together solo: The box is really heavy so I had to open the box on my porch and make a few trips inside with the separate parts.The only thing I did not like was putting the product together. I did it solo, so I think having help would have made the process go faster. There are a lot of parts and steps with easy to follow instructions.In my opinion it was worth it because it turned out so nice!

Easy to follow directions, solid pieces and works perfectly as described!

The install is lengthy but if you can follow directions & use basic tools it’s fine, and enjoyable when you see it form. It is well built & the flame looks realistic. I was tempted to spend $1k for a fully assembled unit but the flame was not as good and saved 60%$. Wide & I love it!

Ameriwood is the worst company with absolutely no customer service. The part came crushed in the box, but the box wasn't crushed so it was damaged before or during packing. You can't talk to anyone on the phone and when I asked in chat about replacement part cost, the agent pasted a long paragraph saying they don't have any availability even though she never even asked which product I was contacting them about. The seller was wonderful though and sent me a new fireplace anyway. I just will never buy Ameriwood products again.

It is beautiful, and works great. not as tall as I wanted it to be but it worked out fine. my only complaint is the instructions are a little confusing.I gets lots of compliments.
