I got this for my son who is in primary school but my husband loves it so much, that I cannot share it between the two :) It is a bit on the expensive side, but when it comes to buying things that will last a long time, it is money well spent such as on this Bento box here. Very good quality, the lid vacuums perfectly, and it never leaks. The stainless steel makes it look shiny. Its volume is perfect for a full packed lunch.

Leak proof, exceptionally well made, strong & no sharp edges.Locking mechanism v good, but don't overload the container or try to jam the lid down by forcing the fasteners to close. I stupidly did that twice & strained the metal mechanism. Luckily they're so well made I managed 2 get the fasteners working again & both tins hve been fine since.So if fastened with reasonable care, the tins will last for many years. I've had my1st ones well over a year, in constant daily use & they're gd as new.Use our's daily 4 storage in the freezer/fridge, packed lunches, with liquids & oily items for picnics, days out etc..Definitely best storage containers I’ve ever bought. I now have 8 of them (yes have spent a fortune, but worth having as unbeatable storage & NO PLASTIC!!.)Am ordering some more this week. I did try another brand, (as size was v slightly larger), but fasteners bent as they were far less robust than this brand).Will form part of my estate 2 leave 2 my kids 😁 & I bet they fight over who gets the most containers!Wish they'd make other sizes - larger & smaller ones.Congrats 2 the designers, machine operatives & all involved with this brilliant product.

I'm sooo happy with this cute lunchbox! It's just 800ml and fits my lunch perfectly. Here's a picture of 1 cup of quinoa, 125g of fake chicken, four spoons of edamame and lots of veggies. I always have to cook my own food (due to an annoying health issue) and this makes it a lot more pleasurable to carry it around. Plus, it's the lightest stainless steel lunchbox I found, and quite sturdy. I know it's a small company and am really pleased to support it, will be buying other things on their website for sure. Pros: very sturdy metal lunchbox, used for a few months now and there's barely a scratch on it.Cons: can't write on it unless with steel writer pen. Inner seal on lid has come unstuck after a few dishwasher cycles.

The media could not be loaded. Just wanted to commend the guys at mintie for the design and build of their leakproof lunch box. I bought the 1.4L to replace a series of bamboo lunch boxes which leaked regularly. I want to support the planet and my health so reusable, plastic free was key in the buying decision; plus it had to be leak proof as I’ve had far too many leaks in the past. Before buying a second one I half filled the first with hot water and closed the lid and tried my best to get it to leak. I can confirm that not a drop has spilt from these mintie boxes (we have a 2nd now) and we use them every day to take oily salads to the office. I also like the divider that now keeps my baby leaf salad from being beaten up by those oh so agressive tomato, cucumber and olives 😂Hard wearing, eco, well designed and absolutely leak proof. Thanks guys.

This air-tight tin is very handy on trips where you need to take your own food. It is the right size for a substantial snack in the hills and the base is okay to put in the dishwasher. I wash the lid by hand. I am thinking of buying a slightly bigger one now for longer trips. It should last for many years.

Great "old school" lunch box. Sturdy stainless Steel and easy to clean. Holds sandwiches, salad or pasta because it's leak proof. I've made up my mind to get another one!.
