I gifted this set to my husband for Valentine’s Day. He loved it! He’s always had a hard time growing a full, thick beard. But he recently decided he wants to try growing it out long. So I thought maybe some beard care products would help him achieve the results he’s looking for.We are both very pleased with the quality of the packaging and the contents of this kit. The brush and comb are great quality and do well at tidying his beard after a shower. The scent I only gave 3 stars because I was hoping it would have some kind of subtle manly, cologne-type smell, but it doesn’t. I think it’s supposed to be fragrance-free but instead it has that ‘oil’ smell. Not bad, but not great either. It did soften and add shine to his beard though. So overall we liked it and he will continue to use it. We’ll update with results as we go.I’m a hairstylist so we probably won’t use the shears too much since I have my own. But it’s nice that he can tidy it up without me if he needs to. The shears aren’t super great quality compared to my professional ones but they’ll get the job done for an average joe. I will say they are better quality than I was expecting though. Any non-professional would probably be impressed by them. My husband was.I also bought the shampoo/conditioner combo along with the caddy to store it all in at Amazon’s suggestion. I’m glad I did! He loved the caddy and I like that it keeps his bathroom organized. The scent of the shampoo/conditioner was nice, but very subtle.Overall we’re extremely satisfied with all the products I gifted him and would definitely recommend it. Hoping they help his beard grow in nice and thick and full! We will continue to use them for sure.

Boyfriend really liked it all good quality, It was a Xmas gift. There was no added scent to oil so didn't interfere with his cologne. He said he would buy more of the oil. The only thing is the scissors were missing. They were not in the box, and there is no option on Amazon for a missing item. I could only return and repurchase and hope the scissors are in the box. Or just keep it with the missing item, which is what we did because he didn't want to go though all that. Overall good but missing a item.**Update**I reached out to Striking Viking through email & they were quick to respond. They sent the missing scissors as well as a vanilla scented oil for my boyfriend to try. The scissors were large & very sharp.We also did the review & got the folding comb which is really nice. Overall very satisfied, since then i have already bought him another large non-scented oil. He really likes these products.

I shopped around for beard stuff for quite awhile. I have a buddy who tried selling me on "every man Jack's kit"... he is actually pictured on the box! I just didn't want to do what he was doing and I'm glad I listened to myself. Everything came out of the box with a professional feel. The products feel, smell, and after 30 days work great. My beard feels stronger. I have kids, they pull at it. I have a wife... oh she pulls at it too if ya know what I mean! Overall I have one gripe. The little black rings on the scissors tend to pop out. I don't see this as a performance problem. I already have a wedding ring, I don't need a second or third. I use the scissors without the rings to get those funky hairs that are over achievers out of the way and keep my beard tidy and neat. Cheers to Striking viking for a great product! Skol!

This is the first time I have ever used beard care products. I ordered this set because I have limited storage spaces. I'm pleased with all of the products, but the beard oil and balm are the best I've found. I shopped around to see if other brands were better. Ordered other beard oils and one other beard balm...I didn't realize until I tried the other stuff that I already had the one I like. Products take up little space because of the holder. The sandlewood fragrance was better than 3 products I ordered from other companies.

It arrived as advertised and all was neatly packaged to avoid any spillage. Started using it shortly after arrival and I am pleased with the purchase.
