These arrived in a different package than what was pictured. It arrived in a black box taped with the batteries inside without shrinkwrap. While testing the batteries, two of the 12 were less than full power (lower than the rest). The price was good though. I will update the review once I use the batteries and test the quality.

I use a lot of batteries. I'm not going to name all the things I have to use batteries in because I'm sure the list would be long, boring and I'd still forget some things. I will tell you what I use 9v batteries for though ...I have 3 smoke detectors, two CO2 detectors, a metal detector and a multimeter that all take 9v batteries. The smoke detectors are particularly irritating because they "chirp" when the battery power gets low. I bought these batteries because I was out of 9v's on 19 August 2019. Today is 19 July 2022I put them in my smoke and CO2 detectors right away and they're still in those devices and still working. No irritating chirping 3 years later. I'm very happy about not having to climb up on a ladder to take down a smoke detector for battery replacement for 3+ years. I put batteries in those other devices as they needed them over the last 3 years and nothing has needed a new battery since I put them in. I don't use the metal detector very often and the multimeter is a very low draw device but in both cases when I need those things to work they need to work and not be out of battery. There have been no issues at all with anything I've used these batteries in.So I'm not going to gush about what wonderful batteries these are. You now know what I used them for an how they performed. Judge for yourself.For me, I like them well enough that I just ordered a 100 pack of this brand in the AA size. Like I said, I use a lot of batteries so we'll see if their AA batteries are as good as their 9v are. If so, and if they don't start cheaping out on the construction and the quality goes down, this will be my new brand of battery going forward.

These are my go-to brand of batteries. They seem to last a while and I haven't had any leaking issue yet.

Works fine for an economical price

I do not know for a fact, so don't take this as gospel, but I think virtually all alkaline batteries are manufactured by companies that carefully track and incorporate any significant improvement in technology made my any other company and consequently, most all batteries are relatively equivalent in performance, life and other parameters. I certainly look at the star ratings and reviews on Amazon and they generally reflect that most brands of batteries are just fine. For that reason, I look for the lowest unit cost for a quantity that I am likely to need over the next year or so and go for the “best bang for the buck”. I have been doing this for years and have yet to be “bitten in the butt”. As my favorite blogger says, “It's just a thought”.

Use for fire detector. Doesn't last as long as high priced alternatives but they do work. Shipping was fine. 9 volt size. Easy to keep on hand in multipack.
