Gorgeous looks and sound.
This review is about the glossy solid acacia acoustic/electric tenor ukulele. This is my second Caramel uke. They first one I bought about 4 years ago, a solid mahogany electric baritone. It was good so I trusted the brand when I bought this latest tenor. I was blown away. It is for one thing beautiful. It required no set up out of the box. Even the strings sound great. I am no stranger to ukuleles or guitars and have had over 23 of them and most requiring a fair amount of set up. I have waited 4 months to write this review to see just how well it holds up. No issues at all. It has a higher tonality than most of the other ukes. And I have left it tuned to high G with the original strings it sounds so good with them. I have ukes in several different woods, cedar, spruce, mahogany, mango, carbon fiber, African mahogany. This acacia is very pleasant with a lot of sustain and reverb. I don't know how they make these for so little money. If there is one thing I would say is a negative for some people, the glossy coat is quite thick. Some folks believe that supresses the sound. I can't say that is the case with this uke.

Excellent product, delivery leaves a bit to be desired
Excellent quality instrument with good versatility options, affordable price, and also came with extra goodies (Picks, spare strings, cable for an amp, etc.) The only issue was the box arrived damaged, assuming because of the delivery driver (From Ups, not Amazon) which led to the carrying bag for my ukulele to be somewhat damaged in the process, but I was able to get the bag patched up. Not a big deal since the instrument itself seems to be fine. I work retail, so I know boxes can get squished/ damaged during deliveries, though sometimes the people loading/unloading can be a bit careless at times. Overall, product was excellent but the delivery driver (Ups, not Amazon) could have been a bit more careful.

Caramel Mango.... most excellent
I am becoming a fan of mango ukuleles.... I am a beginner ukulele player, but have been messing around with guitars for years. I have four ukuleles, this was the second one I bought. One less expensive and two other high dollar ukes... Tons of research. I keep coming back to the sound of this uke. Not expensive, but well built with whistles.. solid wood, and extras. The mango sounds the best to me. I don't like dull looking ukes either. This one looks very nice.. As good or better than the other handmade ones I got. I compare it to the Snail and Eastman ukes. You will not go wrong getting this one. However, I noticed today that Amazon is not listing this one right now. It has the Caramel ukes in other solid wood types, but I no longer see the mango version. Must be sold out. Good luck.

Th ukulele case is flimsy.
The case for the ukulele is thin, not padded well, for such a good ukulele, the case it comes in should be good also. But it was not.

My go-to instrument
This ukulele looks and sounds beautiful. The strap is really nice as well. Only thing I don't like is the bag it comes with, made me feel like I bought the wrong ukulele. But The look, feel, and sound quality are incredibly, louder than I expected

A Gorgeous Uke with Lots of Extras!
Imagine my surprise when I opened the box all this stuff was inside! The ukulele is absolutely gorgeous zebra wood with a high gloss finish! Closed tuners, strap pegs and a three band EQ, volume control and built-in tuner! But it's all of the extras that make this such a great buy! The uke comes with a gig bag, strap, an extra set of strings, replacement batteries, polishing cloth, plastic picks, 2 replacement bridge pins and a patch cord for an amp! Plus a really cool product manual! What's there not to love! It is a perfect addition to my line-up of other ukuleles!

A hidden gem in a mountain of ukuleles
I'd never heard of the brand, but I actually bought this off the suggestion from an owner I met who wouldnt shut up about how nice it was. And they were right. I couldnt be happier with the purchase. I've had it 6 months now and I've played it every day. Every single day.I cant say enough about solid wood versus a veener or laminate. A big portion of an instrument's tone comes from the wood used. You just dont get the same sound with a laminate. I had another mango tenor that I'd purchased (Oscar Schmidt) and sold it because it sounded totally dead compared to this one. Mango has a warm feel to it, without being sharp like mahogany can be. Im told as it ages, that warmth will open up further. All I can say is that with the right strings (Im using Worth low G right now and they're like butter) you can get some great tone out of this uke.Its HUGELY undervalued. And the electronics are actually really nice to have. Even if you never plan to plug it in, having a built in tuner is super convenient. This is my third ukulele and I LOVE IT. With a little effort, the more you practice, the more you'll appreciate the sound of this thing. Clean, bright, warm...like hugging an old friend.
