Nice value
Got this one used as a back up for $46, it’s similar to the cobra model I bought. Have to say, the cobra was $10 more, and it’s a much nicer radio. Cobra added weather, and the ability to toggle between channels 9, 19 and the weather, with one button. I compared them both to reception and they both pulled in signals very clearly. The uniden did sound a little better pulling in signals. But it’s a basic radio, no ability to lock in channels, just plug and play. If you’re wanting a cb to do something more, get the cobra, but I’ve got no complaints on the uniden.

Over all I like this handheld radio.
Seems to be well-built. Feels solid in your hand. The Midland hand-held mic with clothing clip works well, plug and play. sound and voice quality better. With basic Amazon rechargeable AA batteries the battery life is very good.It does have some negatives. Even with an SWR of 1:1.05 the radio on high output only produces 2.8 watts of dead key (no modulation) and 0.8 watts on low power. The rubber antenna is only a basic so don't expect much distance. A nicer antenna would work much better. Checkout the folding type on Amazon.Would buy again.

Weak reception
Used once in northern ny. Poor reception. Batteries don’t last long. Will no longer turn on.

Comes in handy when you're parking an oversize load
Bought this for work and it works great! the only down fall I have found is the batteries don't seem to last like I feel they should, but it gets the job done!

Save your money.
This isn’t a bad product but you can definitely get better. Range is meh and battery life sucks. It works but just not well.

Great Little CB Radio and It's Portable
I remember in the 70's CB radios were the way to go. It actually saved mine and my family's life on a cross-country trip to New York from California. Stuck in Omaha, NE in a blizzard, couldn't get my vehicle started and the CB'ers contacted a tow truck for me to get my bus started. Well nowadays with cell phones CB's are an amusing blast from the past but you can still sometimes get lucky and get a stratospheric skipped signal and hear/talk to someone thousands of miles away. This portable CB is quality and works like a charm and the price amazes me (got it for 40 bucks). Nowadays it's a very high quality walkie talkie so is still relevant. Better to buy this than some .5 watt WT and you get 4 whole watts meaning much more range.

A nice handheld CB
The stubby antenna this comes with didn't cut it for range, so I replaced it with the one in the picture I purchased on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098WSS91B?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailsIt's best to use rechargeable batteries with these, since it takes 9 AA batteries and transmitting at high power will burn through them very quickly. Includes a cigarette lighter plug and jack to charge the batteries while installed in the CB. Nice and clear sound. I can't speak to durability, as I've had this only for a short period of time and haven't dropped or abused it. Overall, a good basic 40 channel CB.
