not at all what I expected
The paint is nothing like the picture. I knew some paint would not be exactly the same, but it didn't even look close. This picture is a mostly white horse w/ few brown marks, the one we received is almost all brown and black w/ only white on the hooves. The proportions are really off. The body is short/squished-looking in length, and the head is too large. But in my experience Papo is not the very best brand for models anyway. So, I wasn't surprised by that. I bought this as a toy for my kids but he looks very strange when next to Schleich or CollectA brands. He looks like a cheap dollar-store knock off horse. If the colors had even been right I might have overlooked it, but they aren't like the picture at all and the paint job is not very good, I can see where it dripped, and smeared, and was just over painted in other spots. After this and the Percheron we got, I will never buy Papo again. I will stick to Schleich and CollectA, even some of the Safari Ltd. look better.

He's a big oaf.
I was not expecting the size of this model when I purchased it. He is bigger than any of the other male horses I own, and I'm not sure that works in his favor. His face is comically large, even for a horse. You can see the veins in his face which add realism, however, this realism seems to taper out towards his arm and leg muscles as well as his paint job, which leaves a lack of realism that is unusual for the esteemed Papo. He seems to be all size and no show. His bizarre bulkiness makes him excellent for small children, however, collectors may wish to reconsider.

Superbe!
De l'avis d'une amatrice et collectionneuse de chevaux en tout genre, très réaliste et bien exécuté. Complète à merveille la collection!
