Eaglemoss Star Trek Starships Special #24 LG Enterprise NCC-1701B

LABELED AS A SPECIAL EDITION BUT APPEARS TO BE THE SAME MODEL AS THE XL-08 MODEL

This is an Xl model. The paint and details our very true to how it looks in the movie. They did give the xl here a plastic blue deflector and not a painted one like standard issue 40 has. The warp engines are also blue plastic piece and the peg holding them on is not visible as it is on the standard issue. They still went with red paint for the impulse instead of plastic pieces. being again an Xl there in no reason they should have been painted on. There is combination of sculped and painted windows which are misaligned. It only noticeable when looking at the model close up. My big gripe is the scaling of the size. Yet again this is an xl model that is not scaled up to be as big as other XL in the collection such as the 1701-C and Klingon battle cruiser. I find this is slightly bigger than 1701-E xl but 1/2 inch less in length. As for the magazine. it complete waste of time. There is no information, concept art what so ever on the ship in the magazine. It is all about star trek Generations plot minus the opening scene. All about 1701-D and how the sets need to be modified for the tv show to the movie. It would have been nice to have some info on the ship since the standard magazine is also nothing but Generations filler. As for the price I paid , I got this about 8 dollars cheaper than normal price I still feel ripped of do to the size was to small for what I paid. If you like the ship its not a bad model I do recommend picking up either the XL or the standard issue 40. Just keep in mind the magazine on both is not worth you time. I would advise picking this up without the magazine and wait till it is on sale.

Not only do I like the movie version of the Enterprise-B, the Eaglemoss version is just perfect! Not too much of that ridiculous 'aztecing,' the pain job is precise, nacelles are straight as a rod, and it's a really nice size. I see it every day as I walk past, and still appreciate how cool it is. Totally recommend it!

This is a well done highly detailed replica of the Star Trek Generations U.S.S. Enterprise-B starship. This starship is made of diecast and plastic parts. It does have some weight to it. I am so glad that I purchased this item as I really like the Eaglemoss XL Star Trek starships. This is going to really look good displayed and I highly recommend this starship and her sister ship U.S.S. Excelsior. Hope this helps.

...Whis is high praise from a Klingon from what I understand. I've not collected many pre-made models at this point so I really have no point of reference here. I will say that I am impressed with the size, detail, and quality of these Eaglemoss XL sized models. The model is almost the length of my forearm. The saucer section is about the size of the palm of my hand. Keep in mind that the Excelsior class ships had smaller saucer sections. I can only imagine what the XL sized Enterprise "D" will be like. It is painted as close as possible to how the studio models were done. Miniture logos and label decals included. It is a static model so do not expect sounds and lights like the Diamond Select models. That is fine with me because these are more like Franklin Mint collectibles. Not that you won't want to pick them up and look them over again and again. You can't go wrong with the small or XL Eaglemoss models. The XL line just gives you more size and detail for the higher price.OH! And the book. A very nice glossy paged edition. Each book has specific information to their model counterpart. Whether that be technical information or details on the ships role and history within the Star Trek franchise. A nice addition but I would purchase this model again even without this addition.

The Enterprise NCC-1701-B is beautifully done...arrived in perfect condition, however I felt it should have been larger than it was. It appeared to be MUCH larger than the Enterprise NCC-1701 in the movie and it is not as a collectible. Just my opinion.

This is a highly detailed model of the Enterprise B. The only issue I have with the series is that the ships are not to scale with each other but they are beautiful!
