Great product
Great product. Lightweight and easy to use. I use this product at work where I do not have access to online music. I wish the signal was a little stronger but overall, I am highly satisfied with the product. The battery lasts about two full days of use before I have to recharge.

This radio will pick up even weak stations. And the battery lasts thru the night.
I love this radio. It picks up even the weaker PBS stations that my other radios have trouble receiving. The audio is also nice and clear, and the rechargeable battery last thru the night just fine.

Not bad. Could be better.
I bought this to replace my Sangean DT-180 which I bought a little over two years. The top buttons have broken and the headphone jack has signal problems. It turns out that I bought a similar unit (the VITE VT-112) to this one in 2016 ago and returned it, but forgot why. Now that I got another one, I remember the reasons. This unit does not have a sleep timer like the Sangean which is very important to me since I tend to listen to the radio at night and fall asleep. The timer is needed to conserve the battery. Also, this unit's buttons are very loud when pressing them compared to the Sangean. I wish it were quieter and didn't need as much force. It can be a disturbance to others around you. The reception and sound quality is not as good as the Sangean. I like the form factor and like the rechargeable battery, though I wish it had a rechargeable and removable option. I like this unit. It gets the job done. Some of these things may not matter depending on your listening habits. I would return it (again), but I think I'll just hold onto it as a backup and get the Sangean DT-180 again. What would make this (and there's many others under different brands just like it) perfect would be the addition of a sleep timer, quieter buttons, and a screen backlight button so you can see the station at night when tuning to different channels. Both the Sangean and this one could benefit from a screen backlight button. Sadly there aren't many options out there that I can find for small portable am/fm radios with digital tuning.

Mediocre at best for intended purpose
I purchased this pocket radio to replace one I broke working in the field (different brand). This one gets lousy reception on the AM band for one simple reason. . . . . . the tuner advances by 9 points on the dial (600,609,618, etc). There is no capability to fine tune AM reception. If the station you want is in between, you either won't get your station, or it is full of static and interference. The only AM station I want is at 1150. The closest this radio tunes is 1152, so I can hear the station, but it's not good reception. Reception on FM is fine and it sounds good. Also, there is no speaker on this radio, just an output jack. I knew this when I purchased, but wanted folks to know, just in case.UPDATE: Jan 29, 2019: I applaud Jonathan at JCEIT (the seller/shipper). When they read my above review he contacted me. We tried to resolve the porblem with no luck. So JCEIT sent me a replacement. Unfortunately the same issue exists. Their AM band tuner only advances by 9 points, while all AM stations are on the 10s (610, 620, 630, etc). It appears that either he received a bad batch of radios, or it's a design defect. I recommended to them they check their inventory before shipping any more. Finally, knowing that the radio doesn't work, a refund was issued to me. Frankly I was hoping the AM side of the radio worked. If you don't listen to AM, then I think this radio will be a good buy for you.All said though, I applaud their customer service. They tried very hard to make this right, it's just unfortunate that none of the radios they sent worked.

Great radio!
My wife likes to carry a radio while she runs and her old one quit working, she's been really thrilled with this replacement and its 1/3 the cost of her last one!

Poor reception
I really wanted this to work, as I like to listen to AM talk radio while mowing the lawn. (I have a BIG lawn.) But it's reception is very directional. Facing east, it works great, facing west, forget it...nothing but static. And inside? Forget it.I threw it away.

Good for the price
This would be 5*, except that when you change bands (e.g. AM to FM) the AM channel selections "stick" but the FM selections do not. If you go back to FM you must re-select the desired channel. Poor programming job by mfr on that. Bass is weak, and since there is no tone control offered it is what it is, resulting in a somewhat "thin" sound.AM receiver selectivity and sensitivity are excellent, but very susceptible to interference from adjacent electronics compared to others. Don't use this near your PC.FM receiver selectivity OK, but sensitivity and adjacent channel rejection leave a little bit to be desired. The battery is apparently not replaceable, so if it ever fails to accept a charge the radio is trash, near as I can tell. Also, if you run the battery completely dead, you will lose all programmed presets.Having said all that, all in all this is perfectly acceptable for the minimal price.
