Butterfly EMEM Apparel Women's Plus Size Queen Opaque Footed Tights

Barring one minor nagging detail that I'll get to in the body below, these are perfect. If you think they're even close to what you need, try them out!So, I'm a tights fanatic, and my sizing usually makes this a troublesome thing to be. On most scales, I'm just above the largest size. I wear a size F in Spanx, which have been my go-to, but even they don't offer most of their items in that size. I've been on the hunt for a while for a Burgundy/Maroon shade, if only just because I love the color, and aside from the "We Love Colors" brand (which have bar-none the worst fabric of any tights I've ever endeavored to try), I've found nothing. Usually in my size, I'd find black, grey, brown, light brown, and maybe a navy.Then I found these.I actually read the sizing chart about 5 times to make sure I was correct - my sizing places me on the bottom half (3X) of the scale of offerings here. I ordered them, and hoped for the best.Initial experience:Comfort - Most comfortable tights I've ever owned. They're not restrictive, they breathe well, and they had no obnoxious chemical smells out of the package.Opacity: Probably about a 60-70 denier. Hides leg hair, probably wouldn't entirely hide a dark tattoo (but hides blemishes or lighter markings). Opaque enough to be considered opaque.Coloring - on-point. The "Raspberry" reads a very dark red, perhaps a shade darker than maroon, but it passes well with my skin-tone as a Maroon/Burgundy. Looks accurate to the listing image.Construction - It is what it is, single seams in front and back, and we'll see how they hold up so far as durability goes.Sizing - The sizing is true for everything that matters up front (waist/hips/thighs) but they run a bit long. Wearing them throughout the day, they may bunch around the ankles. Mitigate it by distributing the extra fabric up high. I'm a bit enamored with the looseness, since it isn't profound, it comes across as more of a comfort detail. If you're in between two sizes, order down.Overall, best tights I've ever owned. Will order more.

I got the navy to go with a navy dress. These tights are comfortable. The size chart is perfect. I will be ordering other colors in the future.

Overall, these tights were great. Good thickness, nice material, and hey, my thighs didn't chafe. I got a 3X because I'm generally wary of hose being too tight, but it wasn't necessary. My usual size is a 2X, and I should have stuck with that. However, as other reviewers have noted, these tights are LONG. Like, I could pull the waist part up over my boobs, and there was plenty of/too much length in the legs. I'm 5'8, so my legs aren't short. My other complaint is that I definitely looked like I had a tan! The nude was a bit dark. But besides that, I would recommend, and will probably buy again if necessary.

I was desperately in need of matte black tights for my Renaissance Festival costume since I lost the ones that originally came with it. All the tights I found at supermarkets or convenient store were very sheer and not opaque at all. I was very weary of ordering these since my previous experiences were not good. However, I have to say I’m so glad I took a chance and ordered these. I love that fact that these tights are matte black and of nice thick quality. I have a lot of tattoos on my legs and they were not visible at all while wearing these tights. I have to say they are VERY opaque as you can see in the photos I included.However, one thing is they run a little small. I wear 3x everything so I ordered these in 3x. Feet, leg, and thigh areas fit great but once up on my hips the material is different. It is less stretchy and thicker. I struggled getting them up. At the end of the day (8 hour wear time) they left indentations on my skin that itched so bad (not from material allergic reaction but from the tight pressure on my skin). I highly recommend getting 1-2 sizes up especially if you are curvaceous. All in all though I absolutely love them and will be ordering more. Definitely high quality and I recommend these tights.

They aren't shiny. I bought a size 3X because I a wide hips and a big butt and surprisingly they were too big. They came. All the way up under my breast too but better to be too big than too small. I'm 5'3 220lbs. Also they hid my cellulite well...I think bc they were a little big and not stretched out so much, either way I felt confident and comfortable wearing my costume and they did NOT RUN. I bought 3X thinking it would be too big. I could barely pull them up. The legs are long: from the crotch to toes the leg measures 33 inches. From the crotch to the waist band it measures 15.5 inches.

Helpful info: This doesn’t as my size but I’m usually a 18-22 depending on the brand. 22s in Torrid for my plus ladies. (Excuse the messy room, that’s the best pic of the tights)They fit perfectly and I’m glad I sized up a little, I typically go for 3x stuff. Definitely opaque at the calves and thin at the top. There was no weird between the thigh gap which was a plus. It came all the way up and under my bra strap. Pretty durable too! I didn’t specifically scratch them on anything but I tried them on Atleast 4 times before wearing my costume to “adult activities” for 3 nights. Not a single rip! They arnt overly tummy controlling (not marketed as) but they are tight enough to keep everything in its place. Highly recommend! Great for plus sized tights and the color is exactly as expected. Definitely see through in the sun light.

The tights are truly amazing. The texture is very soft and stretchy as advertised. I bought white and it's opaque up to my mid thigh. I suggest going based on your weight not your height. I am 5'2", 220 pounds bought 4x and they fit amazingly. Got a gut and a butt and they are not squeezing the life outta me like most tights do. Highly recommend these for big girls
