wonderful presentation./ introduction to the heart and circulatory system fantastic and colorful drawings of the heart and circulation. 2 page layout to show the heart and circ and where they are in the whole body view. the paper back is made of durable thick shiny paper /pretty durable. & nice to lok at.I have a hard copy also and was disapointed initially to not be able to get another ,...but this about 8x 11" paperback actually is much better and easier to use.

This is a great book for the recommended age group. My 83 year old father was recently diagnosed with early stage dementia as well as some physical problems. He had questions regarding the physical part but was unable to comprehend more detailed texts due to the dementia so his doctor suggested I look into kids books. I was pleasantly surprised to find this book met his needs. Also ordered The Heart: Our Circulatory System by Seymour Simon. Same thing...great book for the recommended age group but also met our needs.

I used this book for our homeschool unit study on the human heart. My nine and four year old enjoyed the colorful pictures and I liked the way the information was presented in an animated, yet accurate way. Topics include blood cells, anatomy of the heart, diet and exercise, blood pressure, heart disease, & even some historical tidbits about heart science. It's an excellent book to have for a unit study or as an added resource for any science/health class!
