So convenient, just what I was looking for
It's just what I was looking for I didn't fit my nikon D 500 and my 200-500 all in one bag.

It fits! It fits! - Nikon 200-500mm w/ reversed hood & lens foot
Finally, after trying several lower priced, but very nicely design lens cases found on Amazon, the Ape Case fully fits the Nikon 200-500mm f5.6 super telephoto lens. The other brands were too small. They had nice handles, zippers, pouches, etc. But none can carry all the attachments with the Nikon 200-500 lens.I've always had hesitations on Ape Case camera bag designs and still have a few objections with this lens case design. But bottom line is this fits my hard to fit lens at a moderate price. There's 2 other brands that are $20 to $110 more than the Ape Case. But I can stop looking. What I like:+ Nikon 200-500mm lens with reversed lens hood and lens collar/foot slides in/out smoothly. (Being nearly square accommodates the lens foot that circular cases can't handle!)+ Plenty of padding on the bottom and around the sides.+ Wide belt loop. (But it's so wide, to use as carry handle or attach to camera bag/backpack.)+ Bright yellow interior lets you see what's inside.+ Nicely padded shoulder strap. What can be improved:- Top flap needs the buckle to secure. Pulling on the flap unzips the twin zippers to quickly access the lens. (Hook & loop should be added for extra security.)- Buckle not intuitive. You press down on the face of the buckle, which can be undone if you bang into something. (All conventional buckles squeeze from the sides.)- Need to be pull the top flap forward to gentle pull on the strap joining the twin zippers to close the case. (A conventional flip top with single zipper would be better.)- Top carry handle/strap is too narrow allowing only use with 2-3 fingers. (Should be bit longer and sewn further apart for a better grasp. Hence the belt loop makes a better carry handle.)- Belt loop hook & loop tabs are small and can undo. (Longer tabs would be more secure.)- 2 small pouches can only carry memory cards. (Better to have a pouch for lens filters or cleaning cloth as most other brands.)- Longevity of the zipper pulls, buckle, flap. (Material quality is good though.)

Good case for spotting scope
Just bought a compact spotting scope and needed a case to carry and protect it. I have an APE case for my camera so I looked for something that would fit the scope and this case fit the bill. It has nice padding and carrying straps and holds the scope and camera adapter with room to spare.

Works great with the Sony 200-600 G Lens, with a few nits
I didn't like the original Sony case for the 200-600 G Lens, so I picked up this one. The lens fits like it was made for it. It is rather large with the lens (as you would expect with a large lens), but it should do a good job protecting it while it is not in use.I like the colors and the material. The front clasp takes a little getting used to (for me). The way you press it to open the case isn't totally intuitive, but will be easy to get used to. What I'm not really thrilled about is the side left and right zippers for the front flap. They are connected together by fabric cord. To close the case you snap a center clasp, then I guess you grasp the cord and pull the zippers downward to zip it. The zippers don't zip/unzip easy and tend to bind. That means that you end up "walking" them up or down. Seems there is a better way to do this. Not a deal-breaker, but I can't believe nobody noticed this and improved it. Maybe next time.Overall, it's a nice case, fits well, great build quality, but a few nits

Designed for long lenses (Tamron 150-600) and camera without battery grip
My Canon 6d and Tamron 150-600 with hood in storage position, fit perfectly. This bag is NOT designed for a camera with a battery grip attached, other than what I described, hardly anything else will fit in this bag. You might be able to squeeze a battery or two, down the inside along the camera/lens, and might be able to set a filter on top of the camera, in the bag, providing the camera is not larger than a canon 6d, there are no pockets or slots on the sides, as I bought this for the carmera/lens only, and the quick access to the combination, I don't plan on putting anything in the bag that would get, in the way, of accessing the equipments. Comes with a padded shoulder strap/harness, that attaches to the rings on each side of the back, you can attach your belt through the back loop, on the bag. The camera/lens is secured in the bag with a zipper loop that zips up bothside at once, vs two separate zippers, saves a move, also has a snap in belt in the front secure it further... so, to open, unclip the belt in front, grap the zipper loop pull back, and the top is open.

Roomy Case Will Also Hold Full Frame Sony Mirroless with Grip Attached!
Gotta say, after trying a product or two from other manufacturers for my Sigma 150-500 DG HSM OS for Sony Alpha mount and experiencing a tight fit, I ordered and received today the Ape Case ACPROLC18. Wow! I was happily surprised how great this is. I picked it up just as a lens carrier for the big Sigma, but then realized that it would fit my Sony A7 with battery grip and LA-EA4 adapter!!! No, I couldn't have everything and be able to put the hood in the shooting position, but I could actually do that if I didn't zip the case closed and simply use this as an over the shoulder open holster for this rig. The should strap, BTW, is substantial and I was very happy that Ape Case didn't cheap out on it.Overall, the padding is substantial enough (perhaps not as thick and dense as the LowePro case I tried earlier, but not thin or cheap either. There is plenty of room for the tripod collar on this lens, too, which was a real issue with the 26x11cm case that LP advertises will fit the long, large Sigma. So, very happy with this purchase and can highly recommend.
