Worked perfectly
The spikes were the perfect color and did the job right. I did not experience any bending when I installed them. The hardest part of the installation was removing the old spikes. I cut the head off of them and was able to punch the spike part through the wall with an awl on half of the spikes. The other half I had to drill the spike part out. Once the old spikes were removed it was a simple matter to replace them.

If you need shutter fasteners these are the same as original
Our shutter fasteners have gotten brittle and broken over time. These are the exact same fasteners as we originally installed them with.So easy to replace. Grab the old ones with a pair of needle nose pliers and pull them out. Lightly tap these in and that's it.

Such a beautiful colour
Make sure you understand how to insert these before you get started. If you are under the impression that you simply hammer them in with a rubber mallet you will find yourself frustrated because these plastic fastener spikes are quite weak and will bend under the shock of being hammered in. You need to hold them in your hand and give them a constant twisting while pushing them in place. if you do this they will work very well for you.

Job done
Changed our shutters on our front windows last summer. The box's either came with 6 less or we somehow lost them? Tried contacting the shutter company and kept getting the run around. I finally ordered theses and installed them the next day, not as flimsy as I read on previous review. Happy with the out come
