I recently purchased this dimmer switch for my lamp and I absolutely love it. It works great and easily turns my lamp into a dimmable light source. I mounted it to the side of my nightstand using foam mounting tape, which was a quick and easy installation process.However, the bulb that came with the product didn't work properly. Whenever I tried to dim the light, it flickered like crazy, which was really annoying. Luckily, I already had another LED lightbulb at home, which worked perfectly fine with the switch. So, it wasn't a big issue for me.Occasionally, I also noticed that the light would gently flicker. But, it didn't happen often and all I had to do was slightly adjust the dial to stop it from flickering.Overall, I think this is a great value product that is very easy to install and use. Despite the issue with the bulb that came with it, I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and effective dimmer switch.

This is plug in lamp dimmer switch suitable for LED or incandescent lights.It says CFL lights as well but I didn’t have one of those handy so can’t say how well it works with those. However, otherwise, this is something that really makes a difference in your home decor.I bought a pair of electric hurricane lamps with a marble base that is 40s to 50s vintage. These are the kind with the smaller shades and is possible to hang crystals on it. I bought crystals and needed to buy new felt for the bottom. I had a few incandescent teardrop shaped bulbs that were white.Just the pair sitting there looks great with the old-style knotty pine paneling in much of the house. But when I paired it with this dimmer switch, it went from looking great to absolutely fantastic. Because it’s dimmed, the white tear drop bulbs show up through the frosted glass. I leave it on all the time at the lowest setting and it makes quite a statement.I don’t think anyone’s mentioned this but this is a mechanical dimmer switch. The advantage of being mechanical over electronic is there’s less to go wrong. And, if the power goes off, when it comes back on, the lamp lights at the chosen setting.The only change I made was adding a three-outlet plug adapter on the end as I have it going to a pair of lamps. The switch sits in the back largely unnoticed.These types of lamps are perfect to pair up on a fireplace mantle, a buffet, on top of a china cabinet or wherever your imagination takes you. The cord is long enough but not too long to be a problem.Given the fact this is a mechanical switch, I feel it’ very reasonably priced and very subtly will enhance your room’s lighting effects.

I originally bought this to dim a rope light but it wouldn't dim the light correctly so I decided to try it on my bedroom light and it works great.

I tested it when I got it, and it seemed fine. I got it for a desk lamp, but it took me a while to find the right lamp. By the time I found the lamp I wanted and plugged in this dimmer, it was too late to return the dimmer, and too bad, too, because the dimmer broke in less than 48 hours after I started using it regularly. When it broke, the light fluctuated wildly in brightness, as though it were experiencing electrical surges, and then it stopped working. I plugged the lamp into the same outlet without the dimmer and the lamp works fine. I tried the dimmer on another lamp which I also keep on a dimmer, and that lamp wouldn't turn on. Hence my conclusion that it is the dimmer which is broken. So basically I aquired an expensive lightbulb out of this purchase. And regarding the lightbulb, it's not so great, either. It flickers badly when used with the dimmer.

Forget about all that bluetooth high tech stuff. Just get this and be done with it. Works perfectly.

Well this dimmer is certainly easy to install and use, and it does dim the lamp all the way from off to full. Unfortunately even with the supplied LED bulb, the light flickers annoyingly at dim (under 50%) levels.

What an amazing little gadget. I had one of these years ago and it was lower quality but I remember ow how much I love it. It helps in those wee hours when one doesn't want nor desire the harsh bright light of the normal room light. The control sits beneath one of my pillows, out of sight but easy enough to reach, night or day.

Bought this to replace a similar unit that flickered with less, this one is great no flicker and good dimming.

When you use the fader the light jumps from super bright to no brightness and it's very hard to calmly and evenly set to a lower light level. I'm still using this item, but not often, and I wouldn't recommend it.
