Emerson EBTC12RE1 Quiet Kool 12,000 BTU Through The Wall Air Conditioner with Remote 115 Volt

At first I was a bit skeptical with the brand name. I didn’t recognize it and was used to other known names. But I am completely satisfied with this product. I feel it’s gone above and beyond my expectations. Easy install. Great controls. And definitely a workhorse.Only reason for not giving a 5 Star is that although it says quiet. It’s not as quiet as I hoped. But don’t get me wrong it’s not the other extreme of Uber loud, just a bit more than I preferred.

I needed 2 units for some home house additions ..purchased another brand 15,000 btu for a sun room and then 3 weeks later this 12,000 btu for the family room .... was a real surprise .... this 12,000 out does the 15.000 .... a lot stronger unit and much more quiet ... at time of purchase there was no rating but after working with the 15.000 (which really doesn't do the job..... I wish I had 2 of these instead of just 1).... didn't know which sleeve to get.... for the unit... I called the Mfg... they gave me the correct info (Mfg and product number and said it was listed on Amazon) ... sure enough..fast delivery on both...3 hrs cutting wall and installation.. Love it.. walking between rooms my wife doen't like the difference of a really cool room and the noisy hot room) . Don't know yet how long it will hold up .. but even 2 or 3 years of this kind of service will be well worth the money ... (Not to mention that it was less expensive than other same capacity brands)

I have to shut it off after a short period. Even on low speed, the room gets too cold!
