Scented to your own taste
This solid hair soap comes in a handy 1Kg container which can be used to melt the soap in the microwave if used all at once.We tend to use a ¼ of the tub in one go to make 4 bars of hair shampoo soap [for those who have not converted to using a solid bar of shampoo you are missing out! You are unlikely to go back to liquid shampoo once having used a bar] and add 6g of whatever essential oil we want the soap to smell of.If one were artistic it would be possible to turn this into useful gifts or with the purchase of a relevant mould solid soap bars of your choice.Compared to purchasing individual bars of shampoo soap this represents great value for money.

Great Shampoo for a great price
Ok, I'm a bloke - shortish geyish hair. I wanted to get away from spending so much on shampoo and reduce the use of plastic bottles.Never melted soap at home (looked into making soap with oils and cuastic soda etc) thought this would be a good place to start start and economical too.Followed instructions found online, very simple - made 9.5 big bars of shampoo for just under £9 - absolutely brilliant and saved money -and shampoo bars are ridiculously expensive - been paying nearly £3 for round bars half this size. And the bars last ages - I did add some essential oils, but no need tbh.Hairs feels good afterwards, seems to lather ok, although as I've been using bars for some time now I'm just used to it. Only use bars of body soap and now can use bars of shampoo too - just the result I wanted.Very happy to recommend - economical, easy to use, great shampoo - what more could you want?

Good for curly hair and the environment
Since switching from liquid shampoo to this stuff my naturally curly hair no longer feels rough and tangled after shampooing, which means I don't need to use conditioner any more. After it's dry my hair looks less frizzy and my curls more defined, so I need to use less mousse than before. It doesn't lather up as much as liquid shampoo, because it's SLS-free, but it lathers well enough and I find it's better to smooth it directly onto my hair rather than lathering first. I don't add any dyes or fragrances to it because I'm trying to reduce my impact on the environment, not add to it. It barely has any smell at all, unless you wet it and hold it right under your nose. I will definitely buy again. It's a shame the container isn't reusable, but it is recyclable.

Don't buy, use normal shampoo
I make Soaps as a hobby and to sell so thought I'd try making shampoo bars too. Bought this base and added some oils for scent to 1 batch with colour and oils, coconut oil and colour to the 2nd batch. Both Soaps leave a slimy film on hair and when dry, feels like straw. Neither leathers up as stated so now neither are no good to me as shampoo bars. Won't be buying again

Really good shampoo
I've just cut a piece off the end and used it as it is. I'm growing out the colour on my hair and that section has been really dry. This shampoo base isn't as drying as some of the solid soap bars I've tried. I use a conditioning bar afterwards. I've found it to be better than my expensive shampoo from the salon.

Creamy lather that rinses out well
I made some lovely daisy shapes which dried well and looked professional. I haven't added any scent or colour as I prefer unscented so can't comment on those aspects. Very pleased tho.

This is terrible as a shampoo but lovely as a soap bar
This is terrible as a shampoo but lovely as a soap bar, I’m beginning to think I got sent the wrong product. My hair gets all sticky and horrible after washing it with it.
