My husband used these recently to install a ceiling fan. It really helped with reading the voltage. He was able to install ceiling fan with no problems with this handy tool.

At the time of writing, this meter is priced under $35 and performs reasonably well with a rich feature set for that price point. It's lighter weight, construction is good but not great. The included probes are good quality and you get a temperature probe as well as a decent case.The meter has been good enough for me to use for light tasks around the house and do basics. If you're looking for a simple, inexpensive, around the house meter, this would do the trick for you.

This is the 4th multimeter I've personally owned, although I have used quite a few, and I don't understand how it has the price tag it does. The Mastfuyi FY19XF being priced in the $50-$100 range is up against a lot of competition but doesn't quite hold up. At first I thought cool smoked transparent case pretty neat looking I like that, but then as I started to fiddle with and use this my opinion quickly dropped. First and foremost it does function as a standard multimeter, but there are also $10 multimeters that can read your standard stuff just fine. From my testing the output was fine, maybe not perfect but not many multimeters are and it was within 0.25V of my other meters when testing on batteries and 0.5Ohm which is not great since that's enough to matter when working with SMD components. The included leads are your standard cheapo leads nothing good nor bad about them, same with the thermocouple. The NCV test indication needs you to get quite close to the source, although it isn't the worst I've seen. Continuity test has a bit of a delay before the tone which is kind of annoying. There is no indicator LED for functions like NCV or continuity testing unlike basically every other competitor that isn't the bottom of the barrel harbor fright meter. The kick stand is very loosey goosey and I would have liked the hinge to be stiffer, it doesn't snap closed either but is lightly held in via the soft rubbery case. The case itself is perhaps too soft because the part that holds the leads often crushes inwards instead of letting the leads snap in, only a minor annoyance but it's on top of many others. This thing is also huge. Very bulky despite being equal or less functional than my other meters, although the display is larger than average for readability but it's not a big difference. The included zip up carry pouch is horrible quality material and poorly sized for the meter, being too wide yet too shallow and offering little to no padding. Better than nothing I guess. My overall impressions are lackluster. It works for the most part, but doesn't do anything well.3 stars for achieving base functionality, not recommended. There are much better options for the money or equal products for less (Kaiweets, AstroAI, Klein, and so many others)

So I have slowly discovered I'm beginning to collect these things. I probably have half a dozen meters around the house now. One expensive high quality benchtop one for detailed electronics work, 3 clamping meters (one in the house, one in the garage, one in my "repair go bag"), my old school handheld that's pushing 25 years old, and probably a few others I'm forgetting. This one is a solid daily use for most things around the house and even the car. All the basics are covered. I would classify it as better than the cheapo ones buildwise, but definitely not "professional grade". Just my 2 cents. But so far, it has worked just fine for me.

The design of this multimeter raises some questions. Must the outer protective sleeve be removed to open the battery compartment? For that matter, is the apparently removable outer protective sleeve in fact removable? The answers to these questions are respectively no and yes, but they are not trivial questions as, confronted by a new product, the person of ordinary prudence and experience will want to conform to that ancient Greek principle to first do no harm — in other words, don't break stuff out of the box! Physical design ideally supplements written instructions with a visual language that answers such questions intuitively.My first multimeter came from Radio Shack with a mechanical meter needle, and, after decades of reliable service, finally succumbed to some minor mechanical failure—I think one of the battery contacts broke off—and it still awaits repair. After seeing more than one more modern and chunkier models I'm more inclined to go back and do the job. Not that the older meter was a panacea, but that it was a small, friendly and portable tool which took little room in a compact tool kit, with its leads neatly wrapped around it, or on your work surface, and covered basic measurements like voltages and continuity which kept the home repairman away from so much guesswork.The global multifunctionality promised by the thick manual of this mini behemoth is partially illusory—written in five languages, the full volume of multifunctionality is really only a fifth of the promise—a slim 20 out of the 100 plus pages. Still, this tool knows some tricks that my radio shack original didn't, starting with "automatic range" and "full-range overload protection". I managed to avoid destroying my old one by "manual range selection" and "manual overload avoidance" for the life of the unit, and it had lived still had I followed that ancient caution: "take the batteries out if you won't be using the product for a while". Who can anticipate this! I notice that the modern one still lacks "automatic battery leakage protection", that Achilles heel of small devices.

Vorrete perdonarmi il titolo alquanto sarcastico, ma non ho resistito nel leggere le caratteristiche di questo tester specificate nella pagina di vendita...In un segmento decisamente affollatissimo di prodotti analoghi, l'azienda produttrice di questo multimetro, la Mastfuyi, nome a me assolutamente sconosciuto, secondo voi come decide di ritagliarsi uno spazio per cercare di invogliare un potenziale acquirente a preferire il proprio prodotto invece che quello di un altro produttore? Semplice: dotando il proprio strumento di un guscio semitrasparente! Volete mettere l'importanza di poter osservare la bellezza di un PCB ordinato e ben realizzato...Facezie a parte, a volte (fortunatamente poche, pochissime volte...) mi viene spontaneo chiedermi il perché abbia deciso di investire circa 1.000 € per dotarmi di un Fluke 27-II quando al costo di soli 39,99 € (al momento di questa recensione) posso benissimo acquistare questo strumento, che è più bello con i suoi colori sgargianti, più leggero (poco più di 300 grammi contro circa i 700 grammi del Fluke 27-II), ha molte funzioni in più (il Fluke 27-II è limitato a tensione, corrente e resistenza), misura anche le temperature, ha la capacità di rilevare la corrente senza contatto, ha persino una luce a led per illuminare la zona di lavoro...Domanda alquanto retorica... Tutto dipende da quanto sia di vitale importanza la misurazione che state effettuando.Se il vostro problema è quello di dover verificare se la catena di luci da appendere all'albero di natale sia interrotta o meno, affidatevi tranquillamente a questo strumento. È facile da utilizzare, il display è delle giuste dimensioni e risilta perfettamente leggibile, la manopola centrale di selezione ha una rotazione molto buona e ben calibrata, né troppo debole e né troppo forte, l'innesto dei puntali è agevole e spostare il cavo attivo da una presa all'altra può essere fatto - con un po' di pratica - anche con una sola mano, possiede protezioni che lo mettono al sicuro dagli errori più comuni, le scale di lettura si adeguano in automatico senza bisogno di ulteriori manovre aggiuntive, il guscio è sufficientemente solido nonchè equipaggiato di una "cover" gommata (semitrasparente anch'essa...) che lo mette al sicuro da cadute accidentali; in confezione ci sono anche le tre batterie tipo "AAA" (di quelle della serie "vi sfido a trovarne di più economiche") per farlo funzionare. Cosa volere di più!Da questo punto di vista, non posso che valutarlo positivamente. Quanto al consigliarlo, dipende; provate a chiedere al proprietario di una Rolls Royce perché invece non ha comprato una Dacia 500... La sua risposta assomiglierebbe molto alla mia!

Ce multimètre Mastfuyi FY19XF me rappelle énormément mon Kaiweets HT118A, tant sur l’aspect qu’au niveau des fonctions proposées.C’est effectivement un appareil très complet, avec tout ce qu’il faut pour un usage lambda voire semi-pro.Le choix de la fonction se fait facilement et on comprend vite à quoi servent les quelques touches du boitier. Le grand écran rétro-éclairé est bien lisible et c’est un des gros points forts de ce modèle. A noter la présence de quelques fonctions originales, comme un mode lampe torche. Ça ne servira pas tous les jours, mais ça peut toujours dépanner à l’occasion !Essayé sur quelques fonctions de base, je n’ai rien à en redire et les mesures sont tout à fait comparables à celles obtenues avec mon multimètre habituel.Niveau sécurité, c’est aussi très bien, avec une indication claire en cas de branchements incorrects, idéale pour les débutants mais aussi pour les erreurs de manip, ce qui arrive même aux plus aguerris ! En dernier recours, la présence de 2 fusibles en céramique restent pour moi le minimum à demander sur ce genre d’appareil et c’est bien le cas ici.Comparé au HT188A dont il semble s’inspirer, je le trouve globalement un peu moins qualitatif. La béquille par exemple me parait plus fragile, et le vis qu’elle contient et qui permet de verrouiller le compartiment à piles risque aussi de vite patiner dans le vide, en l’absence de pas de vis métallique. Les piles sont aussi plus difficiles à insérer et à retirer. Ça me semble un petit cran en dessous à prix quasi équivalent, d’où ma note, mais ce multimètre reste tout à fait recommandable.A noter qu’une petite pochette de rangement est incluse dans la boite. Elle n’est pas rembourrée et ne protège donc pas des chocs mais permet d’éviter que le multimètre et ses accessoires ne se salissent lorsqu’il est stocké.

Da quando ho comprato casa mi sono trovato a fare parecchi lavori, magari per evitare di dover chiamare uno specialista, o addirittura per mancanza di tempo a casa.Finisco sempre nel fine settimana per sistemare qualcosa, credo che di questo passo in circa 7/8 anni completero' la ristrutturazione.Ecco, per adesso mi sto' dilettando alla sostituzione delle prese elettriche, ormai parecchio datate e mal funzionanti.Ho preferito acquistare per la sostituzione delle prese ed interruttori moderni, e magari del cavo per passare quei fili che mancano per il collegamento elettrico.Gia' che ci sono includo un po' di domotica, ma il punto cruciale in tutto cio' deve sempre essere la sicurezza. Nel campo elettrico il buon cognato elettricista mi consiglia sempre di utilizzare un tester, sia per verificare la corretta posizione dei cavi di fase e neutro, ma anche per evitare spiacevoli inconveniente a casa e salute.Questo della Mastfuyi e' proprio un tester, o multimetro se si vuole, con misurazione di tensione, corrente, capacita', resistenza e addirittura temperatura.Molto utile sicuramente, nella confezione tutto quello che serve, dai connettori ad addirittura delle batterie per il primo funzionamento.Struttura in plastica, semplice di colorazione principalmente rossa, con un display nella parte alta ed una rotella nella parte bassa per gestire e scegliere le relative funzioni di utilizzo.Molto utile e praticol sicuramente, il top sarebbe stato una batteria integrata a questo punto, magari con ricarica usb.

Je trouve que ce multimètre est un peu cher, je ne comprend pas ce qu'il peut bien avoir de plus que les 3 autres que j'ai pu tester avant celui-ci.Sur le fonctionnement rien à dire les mesures sont faciles à prendre et semblent correctes, il fait tout ce qu'un autre multimètre pourrait faire.Il a une lampe intégrée, ce qui peut parfois être pratique mais je ne pense pas que cela puisse en justifier le prix.
