A very well written and comprehensive book on DMN.
This book is probably the definitive book on DMN. Comprehensive coverage of the subject matter, with clear explanations and useful examples.

A Sliver bullet
Great set of insights. A very important book in the modern business analysis. Bruce Silver gives us a sliver bullet to be used to describe knowledge based work. Will be staying on my shelf for a very long time

DMN steps out in [Method &] style
As with Bpmn Method and Style, 2nd Edition, with Bpmn Implementer's Guide: A Structured Approach for Business Process Modeling and Implementation Using Bpmn 2, what Bruce has delivered that will set this apart is an engaging, accessible, and comprehensive guide to using DMN and, more importantly, using it well. He's taken his method and style formula and applied it with great success, taking readers through the fundamentals of the DMN spec, providing useful examples and tackling tough topics like FEEL, distilling what is a very complex technical section in the spec and presenting it in a usable way.He acknowledges how the spec is still developing and that there are flaws in it from a number of perspectives, but that makes this a very honest book without compromising its usefulness and importance. He looks forward to the future of DMN, what it's challenges are and what its trajectory might be.Bruce's entry into this domain might come as a surprise to some, particularly given that he was not part of the original submission team, but this book proves to be as disruptive to decision modelling as it was to business process modelling. But the great thing is that he acknowledges the huge contributions made by the DMN taskforce and others in getting this content right, with references and sources throughout, lending even greater credibility to this effort, in addition to the recognition of quality that his name will already provide. With other books having come out and others due to arrive, this one will be tough to top. Would highly recommend for any IT professional, but particularly those in the business analysis and architecture fields.

Kindle version does not show most figures - they are just black
This is an unreadable Kindle book. Most figures are just black boxes and unreadable. I tried on Kindle Cloud Reader as well as my Kindle Paperwhite that I just bought. What's even worst is that it can't be returned. What a waste of money, and to be honest a bit of a ripoff. Bad job, Amazon!

Solid content, but RELENTLESS pitch for his software
The author works for <omitting company name>, and their product is mentioned over and over (81 times, according to Kindle search), to the point of being distracting. DMN is supposedly vendor neutral, but this book is absolutely not. Expect to see a pitch for the author's software on average every 4 pages. (And that's after the insulting introduction that tells you you'll need his training unless you're a developer.)If you can ignore the above, the exposition is clear and the guidance is solid.
