This is a compact and light device, even with the two AA batteries (not supplied) are fitted. The device requires no setting up by the user, just insert the batteries and it goes into alarm mode for a few seconds to show it is operational. The green LED flashes every 30 seconds to confirm it is still alive as the LCD only lights up when the alarm goes off.According to the manual, in an alarm situation, pushing the button will start the green LED flashing every second for a minute while the lit display shows the peak concentration of carbon monoxide. I have not been able to check this condition.There is a test button that checks alarm mode, when the red LED flashes and the sounder gives a high pitched beep at a decent volume. A useful feature is the Low Battery warning, which is indicated by the sounder beeping every 30 seconds.The device is set up to respond to the presence of three concentrations of carbon monoxide, the alarm going off if these concentrations are present for longer than a set time. So 50ppm for 60-90mins, 100ppm for 10-40mins, and 300ppm within 3 minutes. However, the display tolerance is quite wide, so be aware that the device may not alarm until the stated concentrations have been significantly exceeded.I think this response is typical of the technology used in domestic carbon monoxide alarms, as is the sensitivity to various household chemicals. It is admirable that this manufacturer is prepared to state the performance accuracy, while others ignore it. The device meets BS EN 50291 and will detect high concentrations of carbon monoxide within a reasonable period of time, which provides a level of reassurance of a safe environment.

This alarm is quite small but robust and should have years of wear and tear. It performs adequately and it is very easy to install coming with a comprehensive list of instructions. Batteries are not included. The main point though is that it gives that added sense of security. I can see no reason why it can't be taken on holiday and placed on your hotel desk etc. giving also another added sense of security against carbon monoxide which is a silent killer. Retailed at a very competitive price.

The Carbon Monoxide Alarm by Raholy comes with 2 x mounting screws and raw plugs to make mounting it easy.Additionally 2 batteries are required for the alarm to operate although the website lists the batteries as 2 x AAA batteries which is wrong and they actually 2 x AA batteries.On the front of the alarm was 3 lights for monitoring the alarm including fault, alarm and operation lights.Lastly there is a ppm display that currently shows the active carbon monoxide ppm detected and if they go over a certain level the alarm with activate.The alarm appears to work as intended as I have it mounted in my garage and occasionally goes off when reversing my car into the garage and then stops a short time after when the levels go down and this shows to me it is still operational.Overall I am quite happy with this type of alarm and all houses that have boilers or anything that gives off carbon monoxide should have at least one alarm install to monitor the levels and I recommend it.
