Great for special needs
I ordered this cup because my son is special needs and unable to suck and all regular sippy cups have leak proof valves that require sucking, but this cup has no leak proof valve. So I cut the straw inside the cup to be only about half an inch long, so all my son has to do is tip the cup up and without sucking he can get a drink. IT'S PERFECT! I Know this is not the intended way for this cup to be used but in case anyone was searching for a solution for their child with special needs I wanted to include how we adapted this cup to work for my son. Even with the straw cut it still has very little leaking and it only leaks from the actual straw not from around the straw or from the lid. My son is unable (and I'm unable) to pull the straw through the cup you have to take the lid off to pull the straw out, my son actually carries the cup around by the straw and it's fine. My son does not have very good muscle control and he is still able to carry this cup around with one hand and easily drink from it. I don't like how it was packaged, the cup was fully assembled and wrapped in plastic and the straw was bent down the outside lid in the plastic and it still has a slight bend to it that I don't think will ever go away. I also don't think it's very durable after only a few drops from the level of my toddlers height the cup already has a small crack in the lid, it isn't leaking or broken it's more of an internal crack. Overall I only got this cup because I knew I could modify it for my son since it doesn't have a leak proof valve, but even if my son could suck I think I would still buy this cup because it's basically leak proof, easy to clean, adult like straw, and a good size for small hands.

Easy to drink from, easy to clean, pretty spill proof.
I have an enormous collection of "failed sippys". Meaning I've bought so many that were either hard to use or my son couldn't quite understand. He wasn't quite getting the fact that you have to tip most of them & the ones we got with straws he couldn't figure out how to use.I read the reviews on this cup & decided to give it a try. He's one years old & he picked it up so fast! Now I don't have to help him drink anymore, he can do it on his own. The straw is soft so I don't have to worry about it hurting his mouth. Even when he drops it 99% of the time nothing comes out (sometimes it'll go up the straw & come out but that's to be expected). Plus, it is so easy to clean! It's such a simple design & I love it!!I can now officially retire all the other failed attempts cups & stock up on a few more of these! Highly recommended!

Cool design but leaks
We love the design, the straw is thin but easy for toddler to drink through and not hard to clean. Cup is easy for them to hold. There is no cover for the straw If you place it in a bag etc. The deal breaker is the liquid seems to pop up through the straw more than others.

Easiest to clean but could be better
Love how early these are to clean! No weird nucks and crannies. The straw is narrow so you do need a really thin brush, but it’s not any narrower than other baby straw cups that I have. The straw is soft silicone and doesn’t hurt my baby’s mouth. She’s 10 months old and is safely learning how to drink water out of a straw using this cup. When I first got it, I tried sucking water out of it and could not get any out. It hurt my jaw! I thought it was defective, but once I put water in it I could easily suck it out. I guess you need some liquid in it to activate the mechanism.I do wish this had a lid... I love this cup and I wanna take it everywhere. Also, the straw could either be a little longer or straighter, because it’s difficult to get liquid from the bottom of the cup out. I have to make sure the cup is at least half full so the straw is in contact with the liquid even when the cup is tilted. (Pictures included to illustrate this issue)NuSpin, please address these issues and I’ll love you forever and recommend it to the world!I still gave it five stars for the sole fact that it’s my favorite out of many, MANY, silly cups! Bottom line is it’s easy to clean and my daughter uses it.

Excellent cup
I've been trying to find a straw cup that my 11 month old can use and I can honestly say that I already love this cup. It is easy to clean with only 3 parts and my son can easily drink from it.

Great for morning milk
Leaks out the straw less than any other cup. Use it every morning.

The best sippy cup in the world.
This thing is the best sippy cup in the world! It's invincible and so well-designed. My daughter transitioned from a bottle to this cup with no issues and it's the only one she has. We didn't even try any other sippy cups. It's so easy to clean. We only use it for room-temperature water and like other sippy cups some water is forced out if the water is transferred from an air conditioned building to a hot outdoors but that's just physics and it hasn't deterred us from loving this cup. We are still using the original straw it came with. I did purchase a pack of extra straws but several months later we haven't had to use it yet. One of my favorite things about this cup is how plain and simple it is vs. other cups that seem over complicatedly designed with crazy busy colors.

Literally didn’t work?
The straw wouldn’t work. It’s like there was no hole in it.

Great purchase
Purchased fir my 2yo to transition him from bottle to cup. It doesn’t leak unless shaken vigorously. Straws are replaceable. A bit difficult to clean inside of straw as it’s so thin. But otherwise a great purchase
