My little dog, a 10 lb mix breed, is extremely sensitive to weather changes and never liked going outside in the winter. Before buying this coat, I bought a normal coat for her with no harness attachment. Unfortunately, that made it very difficult to leash her up when we went out on walks.With this coat, the harness is built in so all you have to do is put on the jacket and leash up! It helps keep my little one warm and comfortable with very little hassle on my part. In fact, I ended up buying a second one for my mother's little dog a few weeks after buying my original one.

In considering this coat, think in human terms of "lined windbreaker," not heavy coat or sweater. The coat is lightweight, with a trim fit, so don't expect the bulk of a puffer or the stretch of a sweater. I bought it for the windproof feature, not as protection from super cold temperatures. My dog is 15 lbs with an 18” chest measurement and after reading other reviews, I ordered up a size to the 20" girth. It fits perfectly and I've had no problems putting it on or taking it off. (The Pawz video has some good tips on how to accomplish this.) The built-in leash attachment works well for my dog who isn’t a heavy puller. He seems happy and comfortable wearing it, so no complaints. I was concerned about buying a black coat since my dog has long white hair and is a heavy shedder, but I've been pleasantly surprised at how the outer layer of the coat stays remarkably neat and free of hair. It's a sharp looking piece of canine apparel and appears to be well made using high quality materials. I do agree with others that Pawz needs to re-think their sizing recommendations.

Coat looks cute on but is disappointing. First of all, it is hard to put on. Have to bend front legs to get through leg holes. Second, coat shifts from side to side when dog walks and doesn't cover her rear end. Wish there was something to keep coat in place in back. Cute, but not suiting my needs.

Agreeing with other reviews, the most annoying feature of this jacket is having to pull it on over your dog since there is no zipper or velcro to put it on. That being said, the material is pretty nice, lightweight but thick fleece. I actually had to return this jacket because my dog would fit better in the 18 inch coat. I have a black lab / border collie / pit mix thats almost 1. He basically looks like a forever puppy mini lab tat is lean and skinny. He is 22" tall, about 14" around the neck, 25-26" girth (chest), and 23" from the base of his neck to his tail. The 16" 25" inch girth i thought would be great, and it actually fit him pretty well, but it was a little snug around his chest and it was really tight around his front legs through the leg holes, which is why i returned it and plan on getting the 18" jacket.

This all-in-one winter coat and harness is perfect for my poodle. I bought the medium after reading reviews that it ran small, and it fits my 12 pound, 12"long dog perfectly. It slips on easily over her head because of the back zipper. She had her first walk in it during a rainstorm the day it arrived and it repelled the water perfectly! Now if I can just get her to wear a hat!She's a real puller and the securely sewn-in harness held perfectly. She seemed much more comfortable in this than in her other harness over a sweater.I highly recommend it.

Just roadtested it in torrential rain. Keep our pooch really dry and it drys out quickly too. Well impressed

Wirklich eine tolle Idee. Ein Hundemantel mit integriertem Geschirr, einfach klasse. Sehr hochwertige Verarbeitung. Das Teil ist nicht zu dick und nicht zu dünn. Etwas schwer anzuziehen. Wir müssen bei unserem Biewer-Yorkshire die Vorderbeine einknicken, um den Mantel anziehen zu können, trotzdem fünf Sterne, weil der Hund ihn gerne trägt und sich nicht eingeengt fühlt. Perfect for my pup no pulling on the lead.Quality second to none first class.A bit fiddly to get on at first this got easier the more I used it.My pup has nearly grown out of it ,I will not hesitate in using Protex Paws again for bigger size.Cant say much more than perfect as far as the coat and an excellent for the well packaged and speedy delivery.Will definitely use again.

I couldn't find a coat for my dog with a harness built in anywhere near where I live. I bought this 1z coat last year and found the added protection a must during the cold winter walks.
