Wireless solar cameras are a revolution in consumer cameras. Even if you like a wired system, there are places in a property that are not cost efficient to wire, whether you use 120V or ethernet power. Get a solar camera and place it in that angle that can complement your systems. Or just make a system out of these cameras.This is a PTZ camera driven by AI. PTZ stands for pan (horizontal movements) , tilt (vertical movements) and zoom. The AI system acquires visual matches and follows them as they move around the property, keeping them on target. Matches can be specified in the app. Since this is based on an AI model, you can expect that the tracking and detection to improve over time. AI is still a new field where improvements happen at an exhilarating pace. Furthermore, the two way intercom allows for sound alerts and two way communications.The lens and sensor of the camera are high quality, providing a sharp image night and day, with the possibility of running the unit in color or black and white during the night. As with all photography, extra light is always an improvement, and you can combine the camera with your one spot lights. The camera has illuminators for night vision.Being a wireless camera, you have to provide a WIFI network. I recommend buying a 128GB microSD card and placing it in the camera to record all the clips. AOSU has an optional cloud program, but with the card you do not have to buy a subscription to their service. The camera comes with a complete install and mount kit (base, screws, templates and cables). Configuring the software is a breeze and the app is very nicely designed.Finally, I would say that the price performance ratio is excellent. I totally recommend the camera, either by itself or as a part of a security system with other AOSU cameras and doorbells.

This camera was easy to setup through the Aosu app, and relatively easy to install under a soffit. The motion detection works well and the camera follows the source. The app has nice functionality and is relatively intuitive to navigate. The video quality is excellent and I like that you can use an SD card and edit the SD card from the app. I was a little hesitant about the solar panel keeping the battery adequately charged since it isn't placed so that it gets full sun. But even with about 4 hours direct sunlight during the day, it has kept the battery charged. I had an issue with the camera's PTZ that required me to periodically manually reposition it - something that should not occur. Customer service was responsive - actually responded to me outside of normal working hours - and attempted to walk me through a workaround. Although I think the camera is usable with the caveat that I may have to periodically intervene, the company is sending me a new camera - which I think is the right outcome.

Just finished installing the SolarCam D1 SE. What a great addition to my existing Aosu security camera system. The setup is very smooth and easy, Aosu app identifies the camera quickly and joining the wi-fi network is also effortless. I use a wi-fi mesh network and the camera is located about 25 to 30 feet from one of my nodes and the wi-fi signal strength is at 100% which is the best I've seen yet and allows for excellent operation. Was able to neatly tuck the cable for the solar panel into the channel for the soffit panels. The UHD video is great and very clear. Tried to include in photos. The PTZ is a must with a great range of motion and ability to track also, with many other parameters to individualize your set up in the settings. I have owned several security cam systems through the years and Aosu so far is the best I've seen for the price! As previously stated, a great addition to my existing set up of the four solar cameras with home base and a doorbell cam and also two indoor cameras. Definitely would recommend this product to anyone considering a security camera system for the price and the quality it can't be beat.

The camera was easy to set up. It connects to my WiFi easily and dependably. I am still trying to adjust its sensitivity so that it captures wildlife (deer). I charged it before mounting it. That, plus the solar panels, has kept it at near 100% charge even though we've had some cloudy and rainy weather. I am a little frustrated by the customer service (I reached out via e-mail and did not get a simple answer to my questions). But, the camera does seem to be as promised. The color night vision is very nice. I recommend using the largest data card it will hold (128GB). It is working a lot better than the trail camera we had before this purchase. Overall, it's a reasonable value for the price.
