It's a great skill to be able to write short stories – perhaps I'll acquire it one day. 79 on Friday!

First time that I have read short stories. The stories were very good but found I wanted them to carry on.Personally I prefer a full story, but still worth a read.

Enjoy all of Barbara Erskine's books and this was a good read

Did not enjoy this book as much as her others. I enjoy the ghost stories but I don't like romantic stories.

Enoted reading this. A lovely one for just dipping into in break times.

Excellent read I absolutely love this ladies writing.the way she explains all the details makes you feel you could be there in the book

This is a delightful little book. I enjoyed it very much, and passed it on to my sister in law who is a great fan of this author. As previously stated she is a bit formulaic, but even so provides a good read. Her stories are well told and grip the imagination.

great read if you enjoy short stories

I purchased this book as a hard back years ago. During Covid times and now having a kindle, I have repurchased all the Barbara Erskine novels to re-read and am enjoying them as much as the first time. Despite knowing the story line, these are keepers to have in your library, as you know you will get a riveting book, with flawed, believable characters and a great story line. Erskine would be in my top 5 authors and I eagerly await any new book she writes.

One of my favorite authors. I loved this book! And was it delivered promptly and well packaged.
