Great Movie! Puzzling Reviews.
I want to start by saying I have never before posted a review on Amazon, but after reading through the reviews I just had to comment. If I could I would’ve given this movie 4-1/2 stars. I loved this movie. I noticed one reviewer talked about how they cried and cried when reading the Novel the movie was based on but hated the movie. I found this interesting because embarrassing as it is for me as a guy to admit this I cried and cried watching the movie. Another complaint about the movie that caused people to give a lesser rating was about the wig that Cheryl Ladd wore in the presenting day sequences. On this one while i’ll admit the wig was not great I found I could overlook that because of her performance and because the general story and Direction were so engaging. Lastly there seemed to be much criticism about the presentation of the Christian message(s) in the film. This film was not a history of Christianity, but rather the story of one woman who gave her life to God and then her struggles to keep that faith in the face of the many tragedies she encountered in her life. While they didn’t spend a large amount of time covering all the details of what she did to maintain her faith in the aftermath of each tragedy they give you moments and glimpses. And in the end you get a chance to see the impact she and her faith have had in other peoples lives. As one might expect at one point she is shown venting her anger at God for the tradgedies in her life. Finally I’m amazed at those who completely missed the central point of this film. It’s not to paint a picture that God’s plan for you is misery, loss and pain. It is that life often comes with those painful realities and it is easier to get through those realities if you have faith that god will stand by you. That’s God’s Plan and the point of the movie.

Though None Go With Me
I loved this movie. Starts Cheryl Ladd as Elizabeth Leroy whose faith is tested with each tragedy endured on extraordinary journey. From the book by Jerry B. Jenkins. It's set in 1951 during the Korean War. Elizabeth longs to escape her own small town of Three Rivers to pursue a career. A twist of fate and true love forces her to day. She looses her father who she is real close to. There is also her next door neighbor who is in love with her. She meets the town's new minister who she quickly falls in love with and plan to marry, but he leaves for korea to do God's work. She receives letter that he has died in battle. She is heartbroken. After awhile her neighbor declares his love for her and they eventually marry. After being married for awhile she receives letter from her ex-fiance that he is still alive. She meets him and tells him she is now married. All these events alter Elizabeth life forever and tests not only her faith and inner strength, but her resilience as well. If you loved the Notebook, you'll love this movie.

This is Waynes wife giving the review on this movie, I give it a 5, my sister has been thru so much of what it showed in the movie. she I coming to visit and I want her to see it. every time I show it to someone I cry, life can be exactly the way the movie went. but, r faith in God can make us stronger if we just hang on. I have never seen a movie like this one and to me it out rates War Room and I Can only Imagine movies. We also bought the movie Miracles From Heaven. but this movie Though None Go With Me will always be the number 1 movie for me. Thank You Judy Flack

Faithfulness Exalted
This film is to be commended for its message: no matter what God brings into our lives, we are to faithfully follow him and trust His sovereignty. The main character had her faith tested many times and she always chose to do right.A secondary theme is faithfulness and fidelity in marriage. This is in complete contradiction to modern Hollywood sensibilities about "love". Very powerful message. From a conservative Evangelical Christian viewpoint, however, the content of faith (salvation is in Christ alone) is absent--just the general non-offensive sense of God. Christianity, according to the film, is not about the gospel and making disciples, but about social causes. Furthermore, the faith and morals of the main characters were not passed on to their child and grandchild, who is in rebellion and running off (and presumably living with) a man who is not her husband. This is disappointing, but all too frequent in second, third, and fourth generation Christianity. From a cinematic standpoint, the acting isn't always the greatest and the granddaughter's interest and then lack of interest in her grandmother's tale doesn't seem realistic.Again, the message is extremely powerful--well worth the time.

Great love story
Wonderful story of a young woman's journey growing up through a war situation with a widowed Physician father. The story follows her meeting a young man who inspires her faith, encourages her during a great loss and inspires her to never give up hope while helping others through their own losses. A movie that comes full circle with a happy ending. Enjoy!

Novel vs. Movie
I read the book. I watched the movie. The book had me in tears. The movie had me in tears. It was all just so sad. It was so sad it was depressing. I found the book to be a little too on the religious side. Too deep. The movie didn't even name the son was Bruce. The house wasn't anything like I had expected from the novel to the movie. So the novel and movie were different in too many ways. Why didn't Cheryl Ladd have blond hair? At that time she wasn't that old however they had her looking good but old. Poor Will in the movie looked really old. People don't change that drastically. So I was disappointed in the movie.

Very thought provoking movie that will capture your heart!
We saw "Though none go wit me" with our 2 kids, less than 10 years of age. They were both listening very intently and stayed awake throughout the whole movie. Afterwards, they both commented on how amazing this movie was. I agree; this is a movie that really tests your faith and shows that God is always watching over us and in control of our lives. I highly recommend this Christian movie as one that's a keepsake.
