EGO Power+ ME0800 8-Inch Edger Attachment & Power Head Battery & Charger Not Included

I was concerned that this product might be too heavy for me to handle but I found it easy to use. I do use a shoulder strap and a Kyeen Tool trimmer grip to help me control and balance the edger. I opted for the 5 AH battery which gives the edger has plenty of power and longevity. The 5 AH battery weighs about 2 lbs more than the 2.5 AH battery but that has not caused noticable weight issues for me. Previously, I had been trying to edge with a string trimmer which was difficult, time consuming, and left me with an aching back. The Ego edger works much better, has greatly reduced the labor needed to get the job done, and eliminated my back issues. I wish that I'd purchased this unit much sooner.

I was a little concerned about a battery powered edger not having the umph to do the job. No need for concern. It ripped though everything I threw at it. Just make sure the blade is turning before engaging the dirt and grass. The metal guide makes it easy follow the sidewalk. This is a hefty unit and seems solid and durable. It can feel a little bulky and can be a little difficult to maneuver at times. These negatives are far out weighted by the speed and power. Once you get the knack of it edging goes extremely fast.Is it a perfect unit? No. Is it a keeper? Definitely!

Purchased this to replace a similar version Ryobi tool and chose EGO as I had purchased the EGO 2 stage snowblower last fall and it came wit 2 7.5 amp batteries that I could use on this tool. The quality is far superior to the Ryobi. Heavier duty and more powerful. The 7.5 battery makes it heavy so I would recommend purchasing this tool with a smaller battery or, as I did, purchase the EGO shoulder strap. I highly recommend EGO products.
