Don't let the price fool you...this is my second JOGR stove and they both rock!
An excellent bargain. Don't pass this stove up simply because of the price..this and my other JOGR stove both rock. I have both MSR and Bruton stoves. Don't get me wrong, they all ( have had 6 over the years, sold some, kept the smaller ones) work great but are a bit pricy. This series of stove are just very good quality vs the price. The smaller one I have had for about 9 month and used it on over 8 trips and has worked flawlessly. I expected the built igniter to take a dump but still ticks right along. If it did I expect to just remove it from the stove to save a tad of weight. The first one was the "Ultralight Backpacking Canister Camp Stove with Piezo Ignition 4oz" and is a dream to use. Works on both the lindal valve canisters ($4 for 4oz size or $.75 when you refill with butane only) we are all familiar with and a regular 16.4 (1 pound) straight propane bottle (Walmart...2/$5.25 new or $1 when you refill them) when using an adapter. The only issue with that stove was the small burner I found myself burning food when cooking. It's superb for boiling water for coffee, tea, dehydrating meals and such just not with cooking unless you pay constant attention (stirring). So I was looking for a larger burner and this Blaze-1 fit the bill nicely. Same quality and build, great simmer and also works great on both fuels. I would not hesitate in buying one of these again.

Great little stove!
I bought this stove to try the switch from white gas to butane. I was going to replace the stove with a brand name unit later if I liked using the butane. Ends up I love the stove and found it works so well that I will keep it and not replace it.I used the stove all summer backpacking and day hiking from elevations ranging from sea level to 8k feet. It boils water quickly, simmers well, and the push button ignition works every time. For the price, you just cant beat it! I haven't found any flaws so far but time will tell.UPDATE:The stove is made it through year #2. I used the stove through the winter and I took it on my recent trip to Mt Whitney (14k Feet) and it worked flawlessly! The only signs of wear I have seen is discoloration and texture of the burner arms and I had one rivet holding the burner arm get a little loose. I pinched the rivet with pliers and it is still working. For $15 you cannot go wrong. If it breaks I can replace this thing 5 times before reaching the price of a name brand unit.

Great for backpacking, but use your own lighter
It's a good little stove, but don't turn up the gas too high when lighting it. The base of mine has caught fire where it attaches to the gas canister (I know, scary!) when I used the included igniter. The problem is that the gas needs to be up really high in order for the igniter to work (maybe the wind is to blame). I prefer to use my own lighter or matches instead of the included igniter. I've heard the same from friends who have much more expensive backpacking stoves from outdoor stores, so I'm happy with this little stove. It gets the job done!

Very small, light and compact
I purchased this for my hurricane/tornado emergency kit. Primary objective is to fit inside a small pack, provide cooking capability for 1-3 days. It seems very well made with good quality materials, excellent workmanship. I haven't used it in an emergency capacity - just fired it up once to make sure everything is working. Looked good, with a strong flame. Igniter worked first time.I have 2 small concerns:1- the gas cannisters are VERY expensive ($13 for one at Walmart - Coleman brand). I hope they last for a few hours.2- during testing, it seemed that a small breeze disturbed the flame, so the unit will have to be shielded from wind.

Very Affordable and Compact Burner
I purchased this compact burner for an emergency backpack so it won't get much use immediately. Having no experience with this type of burner, I relied on the project reviews, and selected a medium size to be able to support a small pan or can to boil about 1 qt of water. I wanted to go thru a test burn. It assembled and disassembled easily onto a isobutane/propane canister w Lindal threads. I placed the burner on a concrete pad behind concrete planter for protection against wind, and it fired up and adjusted easily, boiling a qt of water in a 2# coffee tin in a few minutes. The flame appeared and sounded like it was burning steady. the coffee tin was reasonable stable on the burner. after the test, all the features checked out fine and workable, and the unit foldered back up nicely in the plastic case. Overall, the burner was just what I hoped for.

Great medium burner.
Very nice burner for mid size stuff, I used this to boil a quarter of water in only a few minutes, enough to make a large cup of tea, oatmeal and scrub my spork and bowl from the night before. Good range of control of the burner. Lights very easily. I wish the fold downs locked in a bit but still nice. I suspect my regular jetboil burner is going to be sitting around a LOT more now. I hate setting up the jetboil and it never felt stable.

In this case you get what you pay for...
Took this little rig camping. gas leaked out of the seal, the little plastic starter button melted (so the Piezo is now useless), and you have to constantly check for some kind of gas lock (by taking it off the butane can). Other than that, it's great for $15. It will boil 10 oz of water in 3 mins. so for a cup of soup, or a single cup of tea, its good (but I have to use a lighter now). I would recommend the Jetboil. The Jetboil is like 3 times the price, but there is nothing really in between.

Great little burner
I bought this in late April 2013 and took it on it's first trip in early May. It gets the job done and takes up little space in my backpack. This is a solid option for backpackers and I highly recommend. The hardware is solid and seems very durable. I was boiling water in just a couple of minutes, so it works just as good as your typical name brand burner. This is the latest addition to my regular dependable gear.
