I actually used it to lock a closet door through the handles. I don't own a bike. It is very sturdy and heavy though. Wouldn't be easy to break for someone to steal your bike

After a few uses, the key mechanism jams and I was stranded with my bike locked up. In an ideal world, this company would pay for expenses/damages to fix the issue.

The media could not be loaded.  Needed a lock for my bike and a friend had already bought one of these. The thing that I liked about his was that the straight, locking bar at the bottom, flips down to create a straight bar which makes it so much easier than the one I had before I lost it. So I was sold on this before I bought it.Have a look at the video to see what I mean but it comes with 2 keys, the one now on my key ring and a spare that I keep at home. The 'D' bar has a semi soft plastic covering on it to protect both the bar from rusting and also to protect the paintwork on my bike. Fluid motion and no siezing on the locking mechanism so all in all, seem like a good buy for me. A definite recommendation
