Drawstrings 5 Bone Hoop Skirt Bridal Renaissance Civil War Skirt Slip (CH150DS) White

I use this as a hoop under a Belle costume with a very heavy skirt, and it takes the weight no problem. Drawstring makes putting it on very easy. Hoops are flexible so storing and transporting are low hassle (I don’t worry about breaking anything it it gets a little smushed). I always wear it with a corset to distribute the weight evenly, but I imagine the waistline might dig into your skin without a thick layer between you and the drawstring.I’m 5’3” and the hoop was at the floor. I could easily pull it an inch or two above the waistline of my over skirt though.

It makes my wedding dress look absolutely beautiful... it made lift off the floor and i am so happy now I don't have to wear high heel shoes .. Thank god because i cant walk in heels to well... the only reason i gave it 4 stars was because of the drawstring waist .. but i am gonna sew a piece of elastic and a button on it so that way it wont slide down like it does with the drawstring .. I am afraid my slip slide down a bit and you will be able to see it hanging underneath .but you can make it work if yo tie it tight enough . but no problem I will make the necessary adjustments .. FYI .. when I pulled it out of the box I was sfraid it was going to be too big and I was sad because it was huuuuge.. but I mad the hoops smaller by pushing them together carefully ..and it worked out great .. and it dis wonders to my dress ;-) I am so happy with my dress now .. I am gonna be a princess bride .. I can't wait ;-)

I purchased this hoop skirt to use for historical costuming, though I knew I would want to decrease the size of the hoops (aiming for a bottom hoop circumference closer to 110"). I wasn't sure if this hoop skirt would work for my purposes, but the price was low enough to be worth the gamble.Happily, this skirt is quite easy to alter to change the size/shape of the hoops. The steel hoops are sturdy and finished with metal tips to cover any rough edges. The hoops are joined with two small rubber pieces. No glue or rivets means I could easily slide the rubber joining pieces to reduce the hoop size. I ripped out about 10" of stitching on the boning channels to give myself some room to work and see what I was doing. After reducing the hoop size I added a bit of electrical tape to keep the extra boning together since I didn't cut any of the boning steel off. Finished up my alterations by hand-stitching the boning channel back in place.Now my hoops are shaped just like I want and small enough to allow me to move through a crowd or dance floor!

Very nice product for a good price. I wore it with my civil war day dress to reenactments at gettysberg and it worked very well. The hoops were sturdy enough to support the weight of my skirt and petticoats, the drawstring waist made it easy to get on and off, and the adjustable hoops were wonderful. For the historically accurate costumers out there, the fabric was not period correct (white polyester) and did not breath like cotton which added up to some extra heat in the July sun. I also found it to be too long and ended up tying the two bottom hoops together to prevent my constantly stepping on it. Otherwise I am very pleased with my purchase.

I will be wearing this hoop skirt a lot as I work in a historical park and dress in period attire (1850-1870's) on a regular basis. My concern is the quality of the fabric and will it hold up under a lot of wear. It isn't like I was going to wear it once for a special occasion. But I do feel it is priced right. Do you sell period appropriate corsets? The service was EXCELLENT. My order arrived faster than predicted. Thank You. This was my first time ordering from you and I will do it again I'm sure if I can remember how I did it as I am new to the computer. A BIG plus is that meets our period attire requirements.

This petticoat is Big, but in a good way! What I mean by that is that once you get it unfolded from the packaging, it fans out over 3 feet in diameter at the bottom. It feels like this silky white satin material with a beautiful lace trim along the bottom. There are five rings, more like flat hard plastic rings instead of the plastic tube-like rings, evenly spaced throughout the petticoat. I believe some reviews said the rings could be adjusted, but I wanted it to be big like in the colonial times, so I haven't adjusted it. It has a string tie closure that easily adjusts for waists between 25"-50". While just wearing the petticoat makes you like someone out of Gone with the Wind or that time period. I would recommend this product for anyone wanting a petticoat that is not itchy, for bigger waists, to use for reenactments, ballrooms, or weddings. Wonderful product and seller!

i love this skirt, it's so big! I bought this for my rose quartz cosplay and its just the style of skirt i wanted. the only bad things are that it isn't gradient pink like it looks in the picture, it's just solid white- and very transparent. If you're buying this skirt simply to go under a fully skirt then by all means go ahead, it's a great underskirt for support, but if youre looking for a cheap big skirt (like i was), this may not be right for you. the tie at the top isn't super sturdy either, reminds me of a shoestring.

This is a great price for the product. It arrived on time and in good condition. The adjustable hoops are a wonderful feature to have! They can expand to be HUGE, but also scale down to a reasonable size. Beware of the title, "Renaissance Civil War" though, if you are purchasing this skirt for reenacting purposes. It is polyester, and therefor, not historically accurate. However, if you are not concerned with authenticity, then I would say that this product is a good choice.
