Curtisward Wood Dip Pen Holder With Brause Steno Nib. For Fine Artist Ink Drawing & Writing.

This is a high quality dip pen. Not only does it look beautiful but it is great to use for fine and or intricate work, I use mine a lot and as long as you make sure to wash it properly after use it stays strong. I use mine in all of my ink work, this is a great dip pen for artists and calligraphers alike. I have been using this for over a year now and still find it to work at the same quality as when I got it, it arrive on time and was well packaged.If you're still reading I'm going to go into a bit more depth from here about the dip pen it's self. This dip pen is good at handling different levels of pressure, I have found it extremely useful compared to others I have used in the past, this dip pen has allow me to create and draw more intricate smooth lines when drawing. It picks up ink well and distributes smoothly and accelerates depending upon the level of pressure that you are exerting. It's smooth handle means it sits comfortably in your hand, and due to it's simplicity it is easy to move and draw, write, etc. I have found this to be a valuable tool for my ink work and say that it is more than worth the price, and I would highly suggest this to others..

The nib holder is reasonable for the price but the nib is held very tightly. When or if changing the nib, you would need to protect your fingers with a folded tissue, kitchen towel or similar as there are some moderately sharp edges on this nib.The nib is very similar to one used decades ago when quite a large collection of nibs and dip pens was owned. All were lost during a house move. This is a move back into history. It is so flexible, you could obtain lines from the very thin to a very bold broad when it is gently flexed and angled correctly.

I gave it one star for versatility because it is a pen. What else can you do with it other than write, draw or stab people with it. I don't recommend the latter, and neither do the police.This nib is so beautifully flexible, for thick and thin lines. Going to have fun learning to vary the pressure within an individual stroke and see what kind of lines I can make.

It makes practising copperplate a breeze, it holds ink and handles very well not to mention the crisp lines. I will recommend it to anyone practising copperplate ( as I am doing) because it obeys so well and gives results instantly. Besides it arrives in no time even though I don't live in the UK.

This is a beautiful, responsive nib that gives very fine lines when used lightly and good thick lines too when leaned on. Great for learning pointed pen calligraphy!The holder is lovely in the hand, but even with good care, the prongs that hold the nib in place have begun to rust, which I found disappointing.

The nib holder is pretty standard but the nib is very good. Makes fine enough lines when required but has quite a bit of flex under pressure to create a thicker line and allows for a lot of carachter in line making. i will definitely be purchasing these nibs again.

Absolutely love it...was hoping to find one similar to one I used 30 years ago and this is exactly like it. Super fine nib. Easy to use and comfortable to hold.
