Great filtered bottle
I was looking for a filtered water bottle so that I can start drinking better filtered water instead of plastic water bottles with the microplastics and came across this did a little research on YouTube and the reviews were pretty good so I ordered it and follow the instructions did the four sips four to six sips when I first got it to activate all the filters of course you have to spit the water out and then after that had no problems with it water was perfect tasting right out the faucet I mean the water was so clean tasting bottled water I'm never going back to and the four stage filter you can pretty much drink water from any water source will clean water source and have it filtered out so I highly recommend this water bottle

Easy to use.
Works great either with or without filter. I haven't dipped into a creek to drink from it but Filter works on city water to remove chlorinated taste and takes sulphur smell taste out of well water.

Lid fits tightly
Like this bottle a lot. The only thing is that you really have to suck hard to bring water through the filter. I’m hoping that means the filter is working well to remove impurities.

A Must Have for Travel Abroad
I purchased the SurviMate filtered water bottle for myself and my son for a recent trip to Costa Rica. My only regret is not making this purchase sooner. We bought 1 bottled water throughout our entire 2 week trip. Our SurviMate water bottles saved us money and decreased the amount of plastic waste during our trip. We would fill out water bottles each morning with tap water from our hotel room and refill at various places throughout the day...public bathrooms, changing areas by national parks, restaurant washrooms, etc.Even though most of the tap water in Costa Rica is safe for human consumption, it has a distinct mineral taste. The SurviMate filtered water bottle was able to filter out that taste.Another advantage to the SurviMate filtered water bottle is it fits perfectly in a standard side pocket on a backpack or travel bag. The clip came in handy for my son during our hikes on hot days so he could fasten the water bottle to his cargo shorts/pants and leave the backpack behind.***Important note for first-time users...there will be a blackish coloring to the water during the first several sips you take when using this water bottle for the very first time. Don't panic. It's due to the activated charcoal in the filtered straw. I would suggest sucking & then spitting the water out for the first several sips. The water was clear by the 6th sip in both bottles we bought. You will not experience this issue again unless you replace the filter with a new one.

Used all over the world
I love this water bottle for travel. I have used it in about 8 different countries during my travels. It’s convenient to fill up wherever I find a fountain, bathroom sink, etc. during the day. You save time and money by not having to constantly purchase water. It has never leaked inside my backpack and sometimes I use the clip to hang on my strap while walking around.I gave one to a teacher friend that is concerned about the water at work and can’t bring in a big jug so now she can fill it up at school and not be dehydrated. I highly recommend this water bottle and have nothing negative to report about it.

i think it works but very difficult to drink from
spent two weeks in Cuba and only drank water from this water bottle. upgrading the filter to the premium one, the filter wasn't working almost at all about 10 days in. Likely it was from food prep or ice one time at a restaurant, but I still did get stomach issues, as did my son, even though we were using the filtered water bottle. construction of the bottle itself is good and the ease of use is acceptable. however, not 100% sure about the filtration and hated having to suck so hard to get it going and then only getting drops of water out of it particularly when it was so hot last summer and often needed more water.

Well worth the purchase
I love my bottle. The only draw back I have is, when replacing filters, there are no instructions on a piece of paper or the box. I did what I thought my memory told me. I either did it wrong, quite possible, or I had a faulty filter. Suction is lousy and noisy. I’m sure if I had instructions, it would have been fine. I loved my first go around. I quit buying bottled water. I even use it at home. So I get 4-6 bottles from it every day.

Do NOT buy waste of money- water and black stuff in the filter!
I liked this water bottle originally. It was(like other reviewers said) hard to suck the water through but that was fine with me. I used it on my trip and it helped me because I am sensitive to water changes. Unfortunately I brought it back home and let it dry out (or so I thought!) and put it in my cabinet since it wasn’t going to be my daily water bottle. I pulled it out several months later and I found condensation and water in the filter! I thought it was user error even though I left it out to dry originally. I then left it out to dry for a LONG time, like a week and I checked this time…it looked dry and put it away again. I pull it out another month later and there are water droplets still in the filter! Apparently this water bottle will never dry and I don’t feel comfortable using it now since I know that it’s grown mold sitting in a dark warm cabinet for so long! I tried to contact the manufacturer and it was a foreign sounding company that did not pick up. Very frustrating! Also the new filter is just as expensive as buying a new water bottle!

I am impressed with how well it filters
I am allergic to fluoride. Bottled water at 0.5ppm hurts me. I was able to drink my first bottle of Aquafina without being in pain. I am extremely impressed…I am ready for my next trip to the Caribbean and feel confident that I can drink the bottled water.

Works well
Love the colour and the filter comes off to use as just a water bottle.

Good investment for travellers
Love this water bottle! I’m travelling around Mexico and it’s so nice to know that I can drink tap water if I need to. It’s not hard to suck the water up the straw and the filter leaves the water tasting fresh.
