Survival? Maybe in your back yard
For the money, it's tough to beat this little kit. For obvious reasons, it's not possible to contain every conceivable item needed for complete survival. For instance, it contains no light-weight blanket. With that being said, it does have a decent selection of helpful tools packed in to a very small and light weight space. I'll review each piece it contains in the order it's listed:1 X Professional Tact Flashlight - 350 Lumen XML Q5 - uses 1 AA battery and this little beast is frickin' BRIGHT. It has a "focus" ring where you slide the protective lens end forward/backward for a focused or wide-angle beam. There are other, better flashlights like this one available but it fits neatly into the case.1 X Heavy-Duty Aircraft Aluminum Tactical Pen - This unit doubles as a tactical self-defense, window breaking unit and is very nice. It uses a standard Parker "Jotter" refill but is a little on the heavy side for daily use.1 X Aluminum High Frequency Whistle - Nothing ground-breaking here, just a loud, light-weight aluminum whistle.1 X Lightweight Emergency Compass - This was the biggest disappointment in the kit, to me. It's just cheaply made clear plastic compass that barely shows "north". Essentially a throwaway but better than absolutely nothing, barely.1 X 11-IN-1 Multi-Function Pocket Card - Another one of those items that, on paper, sounds like a great idea but in reality has very limited use in a true "survival" situation.1 X Paracord Bracelet (with whistle and fire starter) - One of the items that seems almost an after thought, at first. The fire starter part duplicates another tool already in the kit, as does the whistle. Both are very light duty. The cord is strong can be unwound for quite a few feet, as a guess I would say between 20 and 30 feet. Keep in mind this is a one-way proposition. Once it's unwound, you'll never get it back but if it comes in handy, so what?1 X Large Ferrocerium Rod Flint - Just a large, fairly heavy duty tool for fire starting.1 X Ultra-Bright Keychain LED Flashlight - Yet another tool included that duplicates another tool already present. Worthless for anything over about 2 feet, but probably OK for finding the zipper on your sleeping bag in a dark tent.1 X Compact Water Proof Durable Carrying Case - I don't know exactly how "water-proof" this case is but it seems to hold together pretty tightly. It's very light-weight and would fit well in a backpack or the glove-box in your car.Over all this is an OK kit. The compass could definitely use some improvement and the key chain light really doesn't need to be in there. But for $25, it's not a bad deal

Poor quality. Avoid buying. The pics are a lot better than the product.

I did not perceive from the pictures of this was so small, truly is the size of toy set. We bought two of these, the Compass and did not work in either one. We gave the compasses to the grandchildren play with and put what was left of the usable parts in our storage.

Berry poor quality everything
Berry poor quality everything. The pictures make it look decent, but everything screams cheap! Compass was broke, case was cracked, the only semi-functional item in the whole bag is there pen. Only because it writes very smoothly 😂 lmbo! HUGE waste of time and money.
