The sturdiest boot ever!
I NEVER write reviews. But these boots are the best I've ever worn. I've been buying cheaper boots for years, trying to make something work for my issues on the cheap. I'm 71, and age, gravity, and wear and tear have left me with some super flat feet and severe over-pronation. As a result, I need to put a couple aftermarket inserts in there for stability and arch support, and to straighten out my ankles. Most boots buckle because the uppers aren't stout enough. These Oboz are super sturdy and give exceptional support. I just test drove em for a 2 mile hike up behind the house. I'm talking instant comfort and a real sense of security and stability. I'm normally a 12 so after reading reviews here, opted to go up to 13. I'm glad they didn't have 12 1/2 because I think they would've been too short. The 13's are perfect. When I first slipped them on, I was a little worried because they were rather snug and I wondered if I should've gone for the 13 wide. But after only a quarter mile or so, it all came together and they are a perfect fit. Any wider and I would've been swimming side to side in there. I did tons of research before making a choice. I read countless reviews and most of the other manufacturers have gone to ultra light boots, most of which received nominal scores for sturdiness. I also read several different "best of 2025" reviews. These Oboz were always touted for their sturdy build which I knew I needed to accommodate my aforementioned issues. On top of that, I am off trail a lot in horrible steep jagged terrain looking for agates in the New Mexican mountains. At the end of a rock hunt, I usually have 30-40 pounds of agates in my pack and trying to navigate my way down the mountain is often dicey with the flimsy, buckling, inferior boots I've been trying to make work. One review says the Oboz are heavy compared to "modern boots". I would much rather have a few ounces more per boot than some rubbery, unstable, weak side-walled, trendy, superlight boot. These are the ticket! And they are reported to last and last. You get what you pay for! If you enjoy superior support in a boot, for whatever reason, you cannot go wrong with these Oboz. They are comfortable, too, and feel broken in already after only a couple miles. No tender spots either on the outside, or inside of my beat-down, mangled old dogs. Incidentally, the grippy tread is outstanding. All the planets lined up with these babies! I just had to let the world know. Best ever by a million miles.

Comfortable, Run Narrow, Great Support
This is my second pair of these boots and they are my favorite hiking boot. The leather and sole last a very long time, 2 years of average use including walking on pavement. Both mens and women’s run very narrow. I am a female with a wide foot, especially in the toe box area with a bunion on big toe and pinky side as well. I wear the men’s wide and they are the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever owned. Not only for the width, but for the support in the tread and footbed. I also have high arches and these are great support. When you tighten the area around the ankle they stay tight and add support and they are very warm. Some might find them a little too warm in summer.

Wide feet? Me too and I'm a believer in these boots!
I'm someone who has a hard time finding boots or shoes that fit me well. I have what could be classified as Flintstone feet. I normally wear 4E width shoes.I went to a local sporting goods store and tried on various brands and types and at the recommendation the Oboz Bridger. Unfortunately the only pair that they had in my size was the display pair and they wouldn't sell them, so I bought through Amazon.I got my boots and they were pretty stiff out of the box, I had initial regrets. But, I wore them for a week to start breaking them in. Each time they were more comfortable.I decided to be brave and went for a 2.5 mile hike in them. Normally (because of my wide feet) I get blisters on the outside of my big toe and my heel. I expected this, but I experienced no discomfort, no hot spots and no blisters!!! First time I can remember going for a hike of that distance with zero problems. Now that I've shared that experience I'll talk about the boot. The tread is aggressive and great for Colorado outdoors in the snow, ice and mud. They are advertised as waterproof and I stepped in several puddles while my feet stayed dry. The inserts are amazingly comfortable and provide great arch support. The stitcthing is quality and evenly spaced. If I had to pick one area of concern it would have to be the laces as they are not as thick or heavy duty as on other boots I have owned, but only time will tell in terms of their durability.Oboz has earned a new customer for life with this product.

Great boots!
I am a civil engineer and land surveyor. My last pair lasted 8 years under heavy use in the field walking through heavy briars, underbrush, and mud in Northeast Mississippi. The boot store salesman in a town near the mountains in Colorado said that they were the best and most comfortable boots for hiking. I bought them and have been wearing them ever since. Great product! Time for a new pair!

Surprised.
I didn't know what to expect. I've owned a few upper end different hiking shoe brands. So far i love these the most. I can't see how they could fit better. Probably not everyone is going to say that as feet differ. Maybe I got lucky. There's a lot to like about these. Definitely quality shoes. Love the arch, the insole is comfortable in spite of the hard outsole which I love. I saw that at least one person thought they were too hard. But that's what I like when hiking. I don't like feeling rocks. And still they have an amazing comfort. Someone said they were too heavy, I don't see how. These are on par with my old Keens as far as weight. But at least a cut above in quality. The do run a little narrow . Considering that I ordered a 1/2 size up. Perfect! They come with lots of tread too. Only time will tell. Only 4 stars because I haven't field tested them. Update: Very disappointed. Not waterproof, While hiking i got them wet in a bog. Water didn't rise 1/2 way up the gussets on either side of the tongue. Down grade to 3 stars. Update: Oboz czme through with warranty fulfillment! 5 stars.
