Universal Plug-n-Play Wiring Harness for Motorcycle Air Horns

I ordered the Stebel nautilus horn with this wiring harness to upgrade my stock horn on my 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit VT750C2 and it was such an easy install. You will need some basic knowledge to remove your gas tank in order to hide the wires along the existing wiring harness but if you have basic tools and common sense it’s idiot proof. By far the best upgrade I have done to the bike so far. Horn is much much louder than stock horn. I think the stock horn barely hits 50db and this Stebel nautilus hits 140db at 4in away! Trust me you need this horn to stay noticed on the streets. I have Vance and Hines pipes and ran straight pipe before that and still have had people not hear me and cut me off in traffic. When I honk my old stock clown horn people just laugh or notice nothing. Now with this upgrade, I can’t wait to honk at all the idiot drivers out there and I hope they bring a change of underwear with them on their next outing when they hit the road.The tone is very similar to a train horn I’d say. High tone and low tone together make for that distinctive train horn sound. Just do me a favor and buy the Stebel nautilus horn and this wiring harness. It’s your life behind the bars, wouldn’t you want to be noticed on the road?

Put it together was a breeze, motor started 3 pull,. cut two limbs gearbox head stripped, gears look like pot metal, not steel. Yes I greases gear head. Tried to re-start motor, no go, carb leaking gas, pulling air, total junk. spend the extra for a quality made trimmer. tried to return, cant, working with amozon/seller, writing on the wall I'm screwed. DONT BUY

Very straightforward to use. You could create your own wiring harness but if you're not comfortable nor feel like creating your own harness this works extremely well.Although the harness is intended for use with one horn, I have used this with dual horns with no issues. To get it to work with dual horns, instead of using the included quick-splice connectors to convert the two old horn wires into one horn wire, I used it to split the positive/negative horn wires into dual horn wires via creating my own quick-connect points on the 3-points of the quick-splice (one goes to the harness, one goes to the first horn, and the other goes to the second horn) and creating additional quick connections wires to go to the two horns (do this for both the positive and negative new horn wires)

I have used this polesaw a few times now. It runs well and cuts well. The assembly instructions are good, but you need to be a bit mechanical to get through them. I only have 2 cautionary comments. 1) it is heavy. I bought the big engine because I have a lot of cutting to do. But small people will find it unwieldy. If I had to do it again I would have bought a smaller lighter motor. 2) Be sure to tighten down the extensions well and frequently. It's a chainsaw and it vibrates and if the connector comes loose it will shake apart and you will be searching on the ground for nuts and springs to put it back together. Overall, however, I would buy it again.

I bought this harness to go with the air horn i wanted to install. The factory horn was damaged in a drop so I figured instead of replacing the stock horn it would be the perfect time to upgrade to a air horn. I ride a '09 Kaw Ninja 650r. I drilled a hole through the left side of the fairing literally right behind the headlamp and secured it with a large bolt several washers and a nut. It sits firmly in place and the sound echos. I scared myself when it did a sound check, lol. I also purchased the universal plug and play wiring harness which made the hook up even easier. The horn comes with a relay but you will have to buy wiring for a fuse, which I didn't want to do. The wiring plugs right into my factory wires, and has its own relay and fuse, so that I can still use my horn button so there was no need to install a separate button. The instructions that come with the horn are trash but the instructions that came with the harness are best to follow.There is no instruction on where to mount the horn so finding a place to put it will be entirely up to you. I chose to put it behind my headlamp under the fairing to shield it from the elements and it's closer to the factory wires. The wiring harness wires were long enough so I was able to zip tie the relay and fuse under my seat.

Very Disappointed. Do not purchase if your battery is under the seat and you have a full dress type of cruiser or Sport tourer. The leads for the batter are way too short. If your existing horn has a factory cable adapter and the push pins, you have to cut them and use posi connectors. Lastly, most decent horns come with the relay so you don't need the one in this kit. may work great for a basic smaller bike.

Useless waste of time and money. The incomplete "Kit" i got just added stress, work and mileage to a simple job. All of which i was trying to avoid by making this purchase. "Kit" was missing several helpful things listed as contents, which made it a bag of wire and a relay. I have wire, and the horn comes with the correct relay.The horn relay included with the Nautilus horn is actually rated higher. Quality/inventory control is apparently not at at the top of the list. Buy the horn. It has the relay you need. Go to the auto parts store and get 5 bucks worth of butt connectors you have the "Kit". Use $1 of heat shrink to resist oxidation at connectors. The kit is crimped butt connectors with little protection from the abusive environments found in a motorcycle installation. Biggest waste of money since i bought those X-ray specs from the back of that comic book.
