Dual Band wifi router with USB3 and under 1000??
Let me tell you my current internet configuration.I don't have a broadband connection, I have TPlink MR100 4G LTE modem with an Airtel SIM card in it. So the internet speed is usually under 10Mbps connection and in our area, it hardly exceed 20Mbps (maybe at midnight) mostly around 5Mbps.Huawei HG633:It's a decent DSL modem/router.I had used HG633 when I was in Chennai with Airtel DSL connection, so I had my hands on experience with it and I had no issues with the router then. Though the interface is not very user friendly, you can go around and make it work for you, if you have some patience. Why HG633 now??I was looking for a router that has USB 3.0, so that I can hookup a harddisk to my network and share them over my network.I was looking for a router with usb 3, and most of them available in the market is painfully expensive and the added features maybe an overkill for my configuration. Then I came across this router here, I was pleasantly surprised to see the router. It is a dual band wifi router with USB 3.Since I had my hands on this router in the past, i placed the order. Soon it got delivered with original packaging. The box had the router, adapter and an Ethernet cable.I was able to configure the router the way that I needed and it's been working good for the past couple of months. It has a good wifi range and both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz has nice range. I can even get full bars when I'm in the terrace.Note:It's not a gigabit router, the Ethernet ports max out at 100MbpsUsb has a nice transfer speed as well.It has both FTP and SMB (V1) available. Enable SMB and FTP in router, it's disabled by default.Remote management is greyed out in the settings page and cannot edit or delete them as this router is preconfigured for Airtel DSL.No firmware available to reflash them yet. If any of you have it, then please share the location :)Thank you. Peace ✌️
