This is the next book in the Monsters and Muses series and it does not disappoint. Jonas is an enemy to Lenny’s family but her family, mainly her parents, are beginning to be her enemy. She is refusing to go back to an ex who allowed and planned for a horrible and unforgivable act to occur. So she propositioned her father’s enemy into a fake relationship as a win/win for them both. Feelings get involved as they not only get to know each other it also open ip to each other, along with reveals that just make you even more angry towards the ones that did her wrong. I soaked up their road towards their HEA and could not put it down. Definitely a must read book in the series and completely recommend.

solid 4⭐️ probably leaning towards a 4.25 or 4.5⭐️Lenny is the face of her family, always making sure to leave a good impression to the public and please her parents. After being assaulted she realizes her family doesn’t share the same dedication to her as she does to them. Trying to heal from her past she strikes a bargain with the local bad boy, Jonas. Who happens to be a hired hit man and also the man who tried to kill her dad twelve years ago.This book had plenty of drama and a lot of issues for the main characters to overcome but I was consistently shocked by how well the characters seemed to handle it. This doesn’t necessarily mean that they should have accepted or approved of it and maybe it’s because Lenny seemed a bit more unbothered or perhaps unhinged than the last two FMCS but she really wasn’t phased by a lot of the things that would’ve made most FMCs run. It truly shocked me how little she reacted to some of the events that took place and just let it roll off her back.Their relationship seemed to be pretty smooth, I think that’s part of why it’s not 5 ⭐️ because I kind of like the chaos, it makes it more memorable. HOWEVER, it was so refreshing to have characters who didn’t freak out over everything. For example in most books if one of them is keeping a secret or does something behind the others back it becomes a major conflict with these two it really didn’t matter for more than a page or two.The ease may also have to do with how this one is written, there were several chapters where it ends and you think the next one will pick up where it left off but it doesn’t it skips a few hours or even days so we never see either of them really get mad at each other, it’s like the conversation dies until one of them decides to open up.I’m constantly surprised to find that I like each FMC more than the last, I loved Elena and Riley but I really liked Lenny’s character. Of the three she’s been the most relatable in personality, at least to me because she seems more reserved and antisocial. Jonas was fantastic and was more forthcoming with his feelings toward her where I feel Kal and Aiden resisted a bit more. This is where my hiccup comes in though because I liked Jonas and Lenny but because it was smooth sailing in their relationship the after effects weren’t as explosive as Kal and Elena and Aiden and Riley.

However, if that is your jam, do not pass on this book. Do not pass on this series. Sav R. Miller's Muses and Monsters world is a must-visit for any dark romance fan.

This book was so good! I swear each book in this series gets better and better.I found Lenny to be one of the most relatable characters I’ve read in a long time. Things that she struggled with with her family are things that I have struggled with and it was nice to see some of my own insecurities written out.I loved Jonas so much! I’ve been excited to read his book for awhile and I am so glad I finally did. I kind of wish we had a bit more of Kal and some more of Elena bonding with Lenny. But I still loved this book regardless. The way Lenny and Jonas balanced each other out and the spicy moments !!!LOVED!!!!

Ok, I only want to say: Jonas and Lenny are made for each other. I bloody love themAh and other thing, Alistair can have my heart or body

Eu amo os livros da Sav R Miller, mas confesso que me decepcionei com esse. Teve muitas pontas soltas, a personagem principal feminina demorou dms pra perceber coisas óbvias, o cara apesar de se mostrar apaixonado por ela ainda tava usando ela, enfim, muitas pontas soltas. Achei decepcionante a participação do Kal e da Elena tbm, tipo eu achei que eles iam ter um papel melhor no livro, na hora de aconselhar a Lenny, mas a Elena só foi chata e o Kal mal teve uma participação decente. O personagem principal se mostrava meio acovardado pelo irmão, e a história entre eles tbm ficou mal resolvida.

Ed alla grande.Questo libro mi ha totalmente conquistata.Alla follia.Dopo aver letto Promises and Pomegratanes avevo alte aspettative suoi libri seguenti dato che questo lo avevo amato! E questo (secondo volume che leggo di questa serie) ha rispettato totalmente le mia aspettative! Alla grande! Sono stata totalmente catturata da questo libro, dalla sua storia e dalla follia della protagonista! Perché Lennie è fuori di testa. Credo che sia davvero lei quella fuori di testa, di cui preoccuparsi e da cui guardarsi le spalle, piuttosto che il k1ll3r con il quale decide di inscenare un finto fidanzamento.Un richiamo ad Elena di Troia e alla guerra di Troia, dove Elena é chiaramente Lennie.Un bel personaggio, davvero bello e dall'estrema forza. Ha passato un evento tremendo, é stata cresciuta come una bambola da manovrare a proprio piacimento. Un burattino. E lei purtroppo ho aperto gli occhi solo tardi. Non volendo vedere la realtà, non volendo credere che le uniche persone della sua vita, i suoi unici amici ossia i suoi genitori fossero i reali mostri. E' stata cresciuta come merce di scambio, da vendere al prezzo più alto, da cui fruttare quanto più possibile. Credeva di essere la bambolina di papà, credeva che lui fosse semplicemente molto protettivo ed attento alla reputazione. Ai soldi. All'immagine.Alla fine scoprirà che lei e Jonas Wolfe, l'uomo che ucc1d3 su commissione, che ne ha fatto un lavoro hanno un nemico comune.Wolfe mi aveva catturata dal primo libro e devo dire che mi ha fatto totalmente innamorare in questo. (Ora sono curiosa di leggere di Alistar, non vedo l'ora!)Wolfe é pericoloso e tutto in lui lo dice: dalla calma, dalla freddezza, dall'essere sempre MOLTO controllato ai suoi occhi blu\viola. Occhi penetranti, risucchiati, che mostrano la sua malvagità. Jonas non si è mai nascosto, e perché avrebbe dovuto quando c'era la reputazione del padre a precederlo e spianarli la strada?Tutti sanno ciò che fa, tutti conoscono la sua reputazione. Eppure Lennie, nonostante sappia chi sia quell'uomo e cosa abbia fatto a suo padre, gli ha proposto un accordo. E chiaramente qualcosa che non va.Il loro primo incontro lo aveva resa chiaro: era sporca di sangue (Non dirò altro per non fare spoiler).Ed é proprio questo che accende una fiamma in lui: non è solo bellissima, ma nasconde qualcosa. Non é solo la bambolina di papà.Paradossalmente in questo libro chi mi ha fatto sclerare non é stato Wolfe ma Lennie.L'ho amata, davvero, un personaggio femminile diverso dal solito che mi ha fatto impazzire.Una ragazzina che non ha avuto mai davvero nessuno, e di segnali ne ha avuti tanti.Una ragazzina che ha vissuto chiaramente un trauma, terribile, ma non ha avuto nessuno come appoggio. L'ha interiorizzato come meglio le riusciva: diventando un mostro.Ma devo essere sincera: mi ha fatto sclerare. Ma davvero sclerare delle volte. Alcune sue scelte non sono proprio riuscita a capirle, alcuni suoi attacchi nemmeno. tuttavia rimane un personaggio davvero, davvero spettacolare.La compagna perfetta per Jonas.Jonas il mio bambino abbandonato.Jonas che ha perso tutto quando era troppo bambino.Jonas che ha fatto del controllo, della calma, della pazienza una virtù (dato anche ciò che fa per vivere).Jonas ed il suo bracciale.Jonas ed il suo bar.Un uomo che si tiene aggrappato a tutto ciò che gli ricorda suo padre, a tutto ciò che suo padre gli ha lasciato. Poco conta quanto sia di poco valore.Jonas a cui non frega niente di cosa la gente pensa di lui.Questo libro é stato davvero bello
