I love molasses for its rich, deep color and sweet/smoky/bitter flavor. Sorghum is also a sweetener, but that's where the similarity stops. Molasses is a byproduct of the processing of sugar cane into sugar; Sorghum comes from boiling the juice pressed out of a grass. It's thicker, sweeter, and golden in color, with a softer, "rounder" flavor without any of the bitter "back of your throat" smokiness that characterizes molasses, which is why it's a staple on country tables, often served like honey with butter and biscuits. Try this excellent product and you'll be a happy sorghum user for life.

I absolutely love this sorghum. I keep a jar at all times. I just can’t say enough good things about it.

I'm not complaining about the Amazon price. This type of syrup has a following and if that is you it's fine. I purchased to make a ginger cake from the ATK site. For me, way to expensive to use in a complex cake. I really couldn't tell the difference between this and Lyle's Golden Syrup. In baking you most likely won't either, but you can get Lyle's for a fourth of the cost. (Wegmans) The cake was great, but I believe I could have found a recipe I liked that I didn't have to purchase special order items.

The glass jar was packed very well to avoid a broken or cracked jar. The product has a nice mild taste, similar to what we used to get locally. The sorghum does not have a bitey or strong taste. We will definitely buy this sorghum again!!!
