Replacement for 2016-2021 Honda Civic Hatchback FK4 FK7 | JDM Type-R Style Rear Trunk Lid Wing Spoiler (ABS Plastic - Painted Glossy Black)

I am very very very disappointed in this product. I got it a little over a year ago and it had already cracked and is very dangerous for everyone else on the roads. This should not be made if it’s going to crack like that because it’s dangerous. I got it professionally painted and put on as well and I’m very disappointed with how it cracked on the bottom. I suggest you not buy this

Bought the spoiler and when I first received it, it was just primered black. I had to bring it to someone who could paint and install it for me. Overall, the spoiler looks really nice. Although, I do hear a low rumbling noise from the spoiler when going over a bumpy road but it's normal because the centerpiece is long and big so a little shakey is expected. I even have to be careful when closing my trunk because the spoiler does slightly rattle if I close my trunk a little roughly. But if I'm a little more gentle, no shaking noted. But it looks so good and fits my Honda Civic hatchback LX 2018.

Just like the other reviews state, this is not an exact replica of the Type R wing, the bolts that are included are not the best size, the bases of the wing that rest on the hatch are about half the size they should be, and the material quality isn't the best. With all those in mind, I still decided to give it a try because they are a local company to where I live based out of Fremont, CA. I painted and installed it myself, which I think it's relatively easy. My wing came with the right drilling templates and they have a very good installation video on YouTube.Now, why did I give it ONE Star?Aside from all the negative stuff that was said on previous reviews, once installed, it seemed pretty sturdy, and didn't hear no vibration noises whatsoever. It truly was great, and way cheaper then the one ABS Dynamics sells. BUT, that only lasted a few months. I started noticing that at higher speeds and whenever I would close the hatch, the wing began shaking a little more than usual. I then noticed a crack in one of the bases of the wing(see attached picture), which I decided to remove and perhaps fix it from the inside with some JB weld or strong glue. However, as I was removing it, I noticed one of the tabs were the screws go into, was completely broken and that was what was causing the wing to shake the most to the point where it seem like it was going to fly off while at higher speeds. I am trying to fix it with some JB weld as well(see picture) but I am not sure if its going to work. Overall, the wing was great, but it would be nice if the seller would offer some kind of warranty, but I don't think that is the case. So just be ware if you purchase this item, you definitely get what you pay for. Maybe it's better to go with the one ABS Dynamic sells.

First off. The spoiler you see in the pictures is slightly different than what you get. And it doesnt come with any instructions. I got it professionally painted but installed it myself. It DO NOT reccomend installing yourself. It was a major pain in the ass. The templates it comes with arent exactly correct so I had to redrill my holes. I had multiple rivets pop out. A few were my own fault and a few were not. I definitely recommend adding weather stripping to the bottom that connects to the actual hatch to help with vibration and stop water from getting into the holes. Mine is on on and seems fairly sturdy but it took me multiple multiple tries to get this thing mounted. At one point a bracket broke while I was installing. I emailed the seller and they sent me a new one by the end of the week.

This wing is the closest thing you will get to an own wing. Styling is perfect the only thing I will say is that it is slightly smaller than the oem type r wing which is perfect for me because I think the oem is a tad large.

Easy to install all around. A little cheap and flimsy but hasn't blown off.

The construction of the wing is very poorly engineered and there are many weak points in the design. The bolts that were provided did not fit snugly and left the parts itting very loosely. The quality of the ABS plastic is as one would expect, but the engineering is what prompted me to return this item.

No recommend to buy it because it doesn’t last long. I bought it not even two years and falling apart, ripped out and I have to remove it on my car because if it fly on high way dangerous for other drivers

Very nice but quite fragile...Hope it will stay there even this winter, but good product overall.

Purchase this spoiler for my 2018 honda civic sport touring. The retainer bolts especially the wing let are difficult to install. No hole template and the assembly instruction are very poor photocopy. There are better aftermarket spoiler than this one out there. I wish I can send this one back but I already have it painted. FYI I am a licensed autobody man.

It looks really nice but very insecure especially the middle plastic bar. I had the spoiler installed by professionals and paid $250 for the installation.Driving in town is fine but on the highway is definitely a no-no! Mine was shaking so much as I have to drive on the highway to work and by the 3rd day the middle part fell off when we were cleaning the car and I mean the screw that connects the middle bar to the stand came off, no other way to fix.Good thing I was not driving so I decided to remove the whole thing ... spoiler is sitting the garage now. Unless someone has another recommendation for me?Good luck!
