Tea for One Yellow Gloss Finish - EnglishTeaStore Brand

I bought this for a sorority gift for someone. Will probably actually use it very little, more of a display item. But it's very nice, packaged very well. Only problem, I ordered the yellow..which is a very pretty mustard or goldenrod..our actual sorority color..and the cup is a little bit lighter than the kettle. It's noticeable, but for $11 I won't make a fuss. It's probably an issue with that particular dye batch.

The teapot is ok. I am very disappointed because the item was shipped in a box that it did not originally come in. After all, the teapot was for me.Now, here is the problem--I have ordered 3 or 4 additional orders requesting that the teapots not be shipped unless they are being shipped in the original box with foam inserts since these teapots are all for gifts. The instructions have been ignored and I keep receiving teapots falling out of some box which is so obvious not the right carton. I received a partial order on today with the exact same problem. Very disappointing!!!

I had originally ordered a Yedi version in the hatbox packaging for a friend and it was very nice. The next time I ordered the teal decorative style which was also supposed to be Yedi but didn't have the packaging and was not marked Yedi anywhere, only Made in China. I feel that it was an inferior imitation and returned the two that I received since they both had surface and paint flaws and were not worth the price. Then I ordered four of this brand which I plan to give to neighbors for Christmas with some tea and maybe a strainer. They were a third of the price of the "name brand" and did not arrive broken as some other reviewers found with the Yedi version. In fact I found the quality to be much better with flawless finishes and also the saucer which the teal ones did not have. These are so much better quality for the money and as another reviewer mentioned, a lovely teacher or co-worker gift.

Love this little thing - keeps my drink warm in the little pot. It also looks so cute sitting out on the counter near my coffee pot. My sister in-law liked it so much that I bought one for her as a gift in another color. It does occasionally dribble a bit, but I think that is my own carelessness. Totally DW safe - I only run it on the top shelf, but I haven't noticed any change in color and I've owned this little guy for quite awhile.

Aside from the color, which is more gold than the image on my screen, I am very pleased with this teapot. It arrived well packed and in perfect condition. The finish is smooth and shiny. Although I had anticipated a sunny yellow, I am overall pleased with this purchase.

I was satisfied for the most part, but I noticed that the teacup and pot are different shades of yellow. Also, there is a spot where the glaze didn't reach over the entire cup, so there is a bare spot. I mean, it is fully functional but not necessarily the best quality.

This is great size for a tea cup. The saucer is also a cute look. I would recommend it to others.

I love the tea service for one but I bought 3 at a time and in shipping two came together wrapped really well and the other one came separetley but the lid was not wrapped just put on top of the wrapped pot and it was broken. I glued it together since it was a Christmas gift for one of my three children but it is not very strong. Other wise the tea pot/cup combo is really nice
