Anybody need a piece of soapstone? I've got some...
I needed a few pieces of soapstone. Looking here on Amazon, I found 4 pieces for 8 bucks. Looking further, I found 12 sticks for 9 bucks! Looking further still, I found 24 sticks for 14! Just when I had about decided that I would just pay the 8 bucks for a years supply of soapstone, I saw the motherlode! 144 sticks of soapstone for 20 bucks! Wait, I don't need 144 sticks of soapstone. That'll last my entire lifetime. I'm just one guy who occasionally needs to mark steel. My children would have a lifetime supply of soapstone. My grandchildren would wonder why in the world, I had SO MANY PIECES OF SOAPSTONE?! Any reasonable person would just buy the 4 pack and move on with life. (Not me, mind you. I am staring right now at a 5 pound box of soapstone on my dining room table.) LOL
