Rigan MachadoEncyclopedia of Leglocks: Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Encyclopedia of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu)

This is a great little book that covers all kinds of leg locks, which are becoming more and more popular at all levels of BJJ. Of course the Machado Brothers have been doing these moves for decades and so they have the gravitas it takes to put out a book like this (as compared to dubious internet videos). It would have been nice to have all of the pictures in color rather than black and white, but the price is reasonable and the content is excellent. This is a timely publication and deserves some attention by BJJ people interested in studying leg locks from a variety of positions.

Pictures are low resolution black & white and often totally useless. Text is pseudo - illiterate and no reference to traditional BJJ /Japanese technique names, uses Technique Number references instead. Bizarre. I love leglocks and was very excited about this book but it is poorly written and constructed. That said, the techniques are still solid and devastating.
