great product!
used about 4 bags in a fluval 407 and the tank is crystal clear! Not a lot of dust when washed. i am only at the top of the bucket. plus you have a 5-gallon bucket when empty!

Product Great...Packaging a Problem
The problem, as you can see from the picture, was that the bucket was buckled onto the product. The product was either loaded in the 5 gallon bucket under vacuum, or at a high temperature (although not too high otherwise the plastic would distort or melt) which would lower the pressure as the contents cooled to ambient temperature.In any event the lid could not be opened by lifting its edges like a normal bucket. At a pressure difference of just 2psi, that's over 200 pounds holding the lid on. My guess is that the pressure differential was even higher. Solution: I drilled a small hole in the lid, relieving the pressure. Problem solved.The activated carbon, not inexpensive, was very uniform in size, and easily poured into my water filter. While I wore a mask, the dust was less than expected.If not for the bucket issue, I would have given 5 stars.

Clean carbon!
Easy to use carbon. The product is large compared to most aquarium carbons. We use a large cup to dip the carbon from the shipping container (bucket) into our large filter bags. We spray down the carbon filled filter bags prior to placing them our koi pond’s filtration system. The carbon helps our pond stay clean/clear and “filters” out various contaminants. I have used other carbon products, to this point (20 years in) this is my favorite.

Convenient and saves money over time
Was tired of buying the little packages one at a time at the pet store. This delivered quickly and has worked well the past month or so.

The carbon rinses clean extremely quickly and seems to do a great job at making my reef tanks clearer. Would buy again and recommend!
