Moen9792 Two-Handle Roman Tub Adjustable Valve with Shower Diverter, 1/2-Inch CC Connection

I initially ordered the Moen 9796 valve set which is brazed together for faucet holes 5" on center. I then bought the Moen 9792 adjustable valve set because my tub faucet holes were 6" on center. The 1/2" copper tube connections were the same length as the 9796 faucet set - 1" shorting then I needed. It would have been helpful if Moen used longer connection tubes that could be cut down to length or did not braze one end, so it could easily be replaced with a longer length. Unfortunately, I deformed one the valve while de-brazing the 1/2" copper tube and had cannibalize the 9796 valve set that was to be returned for parts.I replaced the polished chrome hose that comes with the Moen 9796 Roman Tub with Shower Diverter because it did not match the Moen T944BN brushed nickel faucet set. Product looks nice. But is deceiving. If your not a plumber and more of a diy person. You will have a heck of a time installing if not a professional. I had it delivered to me with parts missing. Ended up almost a whole day for the install trying to get the remainder of parts to finish the job. Luckily this was a home install and not a customer. So I wasn't worried if I didn't get it done in one day. But did made for a miserable day of still having to go to multiple stores just to find the remainder of the parts that were missing. For the money you pay for quality you would expect all the parts to be there in the package. Also, still have to fix the spray unit that was purchased with the valve kit seems to be missing a washer and leaks when the diverter is activated.

Expensive but good quality. The entire unit had to be sweated together which was ok but the distance between the holes was a little off from the specs. Once the holes were adjusted slightly the install was pretty simple. Works well and will last.

I was lucky that Moen valves are in stock. Most of Delta's valves have been out for months. Can't wait for things to get back to normal.

Used with Moen Roman Tub Faucet and Gates. Worked great. You have to read the directions and be careful about controlhead placements, but provided you do, you will be satisfied.

Exactly as described. Relatively easy installation for a home owner with some plumbing experience. Great product.

Got this valve through Amazon as they were on back order from Moen at the local plumbing supply store. The valve was delivered the next day!!!! Great job Amazon. Our contractor installed the valve for a replacement bathtub during the master bath remodel. He and was able to split the faucet spigot valve and locate it separately so the faucet spigot could hang over the side of the bathtub instead of the front. Works great.

Still got to do the install, which will be the final test, but these parts and the faucet look exactly like i wanted!

Would have been very helpful to have a tool included to remove cartridges and Diverter for welding. Had to wait a month to get these tools in. Whole project was delays project because delayed.
