Okay Value for the Money -- But You'll Need to Buy Speakers
Was bought as a gift for my folks -- I'd give it 4-½ stars if I could, there's just an intermittent "hollowness" to the sound.UPDATE 2016/05/01: Have dropped my rating to THREE stars. The picture remains very good, but I'm going to have to lay out more money for a sound bar. Just days after my February update (below), the speakers started audibly buzzing at certain lower frequencies, and the problem has gotten to the point that we've had to stop watching some shows in the middle because the sound is actually painful. I've tried using several sets of PC speakers (powered and unpowered, with & without sub-woofer) but the TV has not worked with any of them -- one set gave low-quality mono sound the other two sets remained mute. We would have been better off paying about $50-$100 more for a set with better sound instead of having to deal with another piece of electronics, more cords & cables, etc. It's still a decent video device but the entire family has become thoroughly disenchanted with the sound situation.UPDATE 2016/02/27: The sound's just not up to par; my folks are in their 80s and are having problems with some voices, plus even I can hear buzzing or a slight echo depending on the frequency of the sound involved. I tried an old PC speaker setup that's been laying around for almost 10 years by plugging it into the headphone port but the results were even worse so now I'm shopping for a sound bar, will update again once I know how that works out.

Basic but works
Good for the price. Kind of a cheap stand but if you're mounting it that doesn't matter. Takes a few seconds to 'boot' and sleep mode takes a while to kick in if you're willing to wait. Decent amount of inputs, but unfortunately no DVI-D input. Also one very annoying thing is that the power cord is stuck to the monitor and not removable. I think it is decently long for most use cases. There are not many options for changing the picture overall. There are only a few presets. There is no distinct 'Game Mode' so there is a possibility music video games could be off time, but this has not happened to me.I also like how for 40" this TV is very lightweight.I am using this for a video game setup primarily (including music games). I am very pleased.Cannot say anything about the speakers as I am not using them.

Better than expected
For the price, I thought this TV would be okay. It has actually turned out to be very good. Some Blu-ray discs were hard to hear (I honestly think Blu-ray discs are more to blame than the TV), so I added a soundbar for fuller, louder audio. The display has bright, rich, sharp color. I have had this set in my bedroom for nearly 4 years and it works as well as the day I got it.

Just OK
The sound is horrible. Color and clarity fabulous. I have it on the my small screened in porch at the top volume button. You have to be totally quiet to hear it. For the price, I would still consider it just OK. I can see if anyone had a conversation no one would hear the program. I would not recommend this TV for any room.

GREAT!
If you never heard of oCosmo TV do not feel ignorant. neither did I. and there is almost nothing on the web about them either, and nobody I could look up had them listed. But oCosmo TV is a great value as the TV I got in 2 days from Amazon is as good so far as the Panasonic I got last year for twice the price. The instructions are a bit light, but are sufficient, and the web site has a lot of room to grow, shall we say. But it is very good, works fine, has lots and lots of plumbing in the back so it can be configured as required, and it was very reasonably priced.

Great TV for a Great Price..
GREAT TV for the price.. Sound can be a bit sketchy at times (although honestly it's hard to find good speaker systems in any flat screen HD tv unless you're spending some big bucks), but that's nothing a decent sound bar can't fix.. I'd definitely recommend buying this TV to everyone... Why spend an extra $100 - $250 to buy a smart TV when you can get a regular HD TV and get a $40 Firestick. The Firestick turns tour TV into a smart TV.. Just make sure you get the 3 year replacement warranty.. Always do that when getting a TV, regardless of brand/make/model.. That's what I did... Trust me when I say this: Buy this TV!

Ocos who?
Sometimes you just gotta take a chance. The price was too good to pass up. I knew the risk in buying Chinese. Well...it's a keeper. It's not a Samsung but it's a bargain for what you are getting here. It has a great picture. You will need to adjust your color settings a bit. The speakers are atrocious but what did you expect. We've had it about 6 months now and I can say without reservation it was a great buy. I will likely buy another. My old Samsung is on its last leg.

Excellent TV so far
Excellent TV so far. We've had it for about two months and are thus far very satisfied. Previously we had purchased a Sceptre TV and absolutely loved it, but it was broken during our move. The Sceptre was great except for its terrible audio. I had a sound system already, so we just didn't use the TV sound and only went through the stereo. Not a problem with oCOSMO. I figured from other reviews that it would have the same speakers as the Sceptre, but not so. Sound is fine, not tinny like the Sceptre and neither metallic nor warbly nor garbled. Sceptre lasted 14 months with no signs of decay or programmed death, and I hope/expect its higher-end cousin to be the same.
